It sits on an oversized lot on the south side of downtown Safety Harbor. Three blocks away, you can see beautiful Tampa Bay from your front yard. Main Street is only four blocks away! You can walk, bike, or even ride your golf cart and enjoy all that quaint Safety Harbor offers.

Built in 1924, the house is known for its Spanish architecture and craftsmanship. Newly renovated in 2024, it provides all the modern luxury, yet the original charm was carefully preserved, including the original hardwood floor, Spanish architectural arches, brick fireplace, hand-textured plaster, and much more for your discovery.

As you come in, you will be captivated by this home's charm. A stunning hardwood floor, fireplace, and Spanish brick accent the beautiful sunny living room. Two double doors invite you to the covered screen-in front porch, a perfect space for morning coffee while listening to the birds chirping.

The dining room is the center of the whole house. A fun picnic-style table surrounded by original Florida artwork is a place for the entire family to gather and enjoy.

There are three bedrooms in the house. Each bedroom has windows with scenic views, 58-inch TVs with over 200 Cable Channels, plush mattresses, and luxury bed linens to guarantee a great night's sleep. Two bedrooms have king-size beds, and a well-appointed bath is located only steps away from each bedroom. The third bedroom has a queen-size bed and its own en suite bath.

Both bathrooms are equipped with beautiful, modern full-glass showers. Shampoo, conditioner, and soap are individually packed. A hairdryer, abundant towels, and paper products are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with brand new stainless appliances: a double-door fridge, washer/dryer, inductive cooktop/oven, microwave, stainless cookware, dining ware, a Keurig coffee machine, and all the coffee supplies. Wine, bottled water, and snacks will be ready upon your arrival!

The covered back patio invites you to enjoy the beautiful Florida outdoors year-round.

About the host

Host profile image
Hi, This is John, and my lovely wife Ellen :)

We are your fun-loving hosts!

I grew up on a farm in Nashville TN. Raising horses, and goats, and going to fairs to show our Shorthorn cattle have occupied my earlier years. I am currently managing IT in a software company that has an office in the Tampa Bay Area. When I am not pounding on the keyboard, I involve myself in renovating houses, gardening, cooking, and entertaining friends and family.

My wife Ellen was born in China, a true city girl, her interests are more in art & Electrical Engineering. She came to the states to research high-voltage transmission, but I really think she came here to find me and my secret BBQ recipes ☺

We love to travel together and have been to Beijing, Hong Kong, London, Vancouver... Everywhere we go, we try to stay away from hotels, staying with locals is way more fun.

Ellen and I completely fell in love with Safety Harbor on our first visit. Safety Harbor is one of the most charming southern cities, It offers amazing natural beauty as well as superb restaurants, and cultural experiences. Best of all, the locals are the most friendly people we have ever met.

We have since bought and renovated 4 vacation homes in Safety Harbor. Casa la Joya is the newest one!

If You are Interested in knowing our other homes at Safety Harbor, they are not hard to find online: Casa del Tren (4-6 Guests, Pet Friendly), Casa Artista(4 - 6 guests, Pet Friendly), Casa la Cala (4-6 Guests, Pet Friendly).

Why they chose this property

Casa la Joya is located on the tranquil south side of charming Safety Harbor. 3 Blocks to the Tampa Bay water front and Just steps to all the action on downtown main street.

Amazing local restaurants, pubs, and shops. Marina Park, which includes the Marina Pier, and the Tampa Bay waterfront are just a relaxing short stroll from your front door!

A walk/run/bike paradise - Marina Park also features a pedestrian and bike trail which provides an elevated path among the mangrove trees as you head north toward Philippe Park. Heading south on the path you will enjoy a beautiful view of Tampa Bay as it extends all the way to the Courtney Campbell Causeway beach and trail which goes across the bay to Tampa. Did we mention Philippe Park? Don’t miss it! It is amazingly beautiful, also on the Tampa Bay waterfront.

What makes this property unique

The house is named “Casa la Joya” because of the joyful charming character embedded in this Spanish Revival Styled house and its beloved history in Safety Harbor.
