Incredible Home

This home is immaculate the moment you drive in! It’s absolutely perfect for a wine weekend getaway. The home is accessible (there are 3 stairs in the back and a few single steps around the home) but very sturdy and well built. You’ll be obsessed with the back porch instantly, the view is like no other. The owners have really thought of everything! Comfortable seats everywhere, sturdy benches at the fire pit, and even a sliding gate on the deck to keep pups and kids safe. I slept so well in the soft, cozy beds and loved the walk in showers. This home is perfect for families and gives that cabin feel, but with all the accessibility and convenience of home. Could not recommend enough, and hope to stay again in the future! There’s wineries and breweries just a few miles away, and even though it seems so remote it’s not that far from a town with restaurants and a grocery store. If you are thinking about renting it, trust me - it’s a good idea!

Comfortable and beautiful stay in Sparta

The house was so comfortable and well stocked, perfect for our one week stay visiting family in Sparta. The Blue Ridge Highway was closed right by the house when we visited, but Google Maps led us straight there without any issues using a different route. Will probably stay again the next time we visit Sparta!

Enjoyed our stay!

The Parkway Log Cottage was clean, comfortable, well laid out, and had a big backyard with lovely views, especially with the horses nearby. We enjoyed relaxing and having lunch on the nice long deck in back. The sunrises were beautiful. The Kitchen had just about anything you needed to cook a meal. It was very close to the Blue Ridge parkway (even though the closest entrance near the cottage was blocked off during our stay). And we loved checking out the NC Stone Mountain Park that was also near by. Great place for a picnic lunch near the homestead! The Owner and property manager were very responsive whenever we had questions. We would definitely love to stay here again!💗

Relaxing Weekend

The property was as described, nice & quiet. The cabin was well stocked but the furniture could be updated. The deck was great with the best views. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice quiet getaway.

Just a great property - one of the best rentals I have ever used. The location is superb with so much to see within 30 minutes you would need a week just to get started. Clean and fully stocked with everything. Cannot say enough about how well this worked for our family. We will be back.

Wonderful weekend getaway

We had a wonderful weekend celebrating our daughter’s 20th birthday and Father’s Day. It was so peaceful to sit on the deck and watch the horses and it was especially entertaining to see our pups excitement about the horses and bunnies. We went to the brewery with the dogs for live music Friday night and then had a fantastic dinner at Muddy Creek. Saturday, we enjoyed strolling along the Main Street downtown (made purchases at the candle store, Ofelia’s, and Backwood Beans). We enjoyed having dinner on the deck with a fire in the fire pit and capped off the evening playing a board game. One final note - the beds were super comfy!

Pleasurable Getaway

The property was very relaxing and had a great view off of the back deck. The living room could have had an easier couch or seating arraignment to get up out of. My wife and myself have back issues and it was difficult for us to get up out of the couch. I'm sure with a couple of changes the property would be more pleasurable for handicapped individuals to enjoy. Other than that, the dogs and ourselves enjoyed the deck and the long gate at the carport was a great plus to keep everyone safe. Plus the proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway was right around the corner. Great Place! Thanks!

Blue Ridge Parkway Home

We had a great time at the house that sits just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The scenic drive on the Parkway was beautiful with all of the colored leaves of fall. We also hiked, visited wineries, and antique shops. The house was very clean and inviting. It had everything that you need for a great visit. Our host was Katrina. She communicated with us before the trip and it all went smoothly. We would definitely stay here again.

A Little Piece Of Heaven

We loved the house. My daughter in law wants to buy it!!! A couple of my sisters stopped by @ they loved it too. They also have friends & family they’re telling about the house. We loved sitting on the deck with our coffee & talking. We loved the horses, my granddaughter actually petted them, when they came up to the fence. We will be back.

Comfortable and convenient weekend stay!

This home was great for our weekend trip! Our group was 4: 2 adults and 2 elderly grandparents. The home was well furnished - clearly a family home and not a rental (that sometimes just have the bare minimum). Beds were comfortable (softer side just fyi), bedrooms were spacious, and the finishes were lovely. All the finishes in the house were great. Extremely convenient location to blue ridge parkway - less than a mile away. Quiet neighborhood and the house sat on a large piece of land with beautiful scenery. FYI for accesibility the house is 1 level, but with 1 step up/down’s to the sunroom, and to the guest bedroom wing.

Great location!

Tranquility in the hills

This property exceeded expectations. The house was cozy and quaint and met all our needs and the surrounding property was great with a large yard and surrounding woods for the kids to play in. Great location within 30 minutes of the wineries and Elkin and the songbirds were great to listen to.

Great location, quiet, beautiful views

We really enjoyed our girl weekend to this home. Its a comfortable, quaint home within a gorgeous setting. Viewing the stars at night was absolutely amazing. The rolling hills and mountains everywhere was stunning. The home had cooking supplies and plenty of seasonings. The furnishings (except the sofa) were mostly aged with tons of nick knacks & art that you would expect to see at your grandmothers house. We did enjoy a long walk down Rash Road & only saw one car the whole time. We also took a day trip to Roaring River Vineyards & Stone Mountain to hike which were about a 20 min drive. Its a great place to escape and enjoy the gorgeous mountain setting!

Wonderful Family Getaway!

What a wonderful getaway to meet up with family! We had four adults and 2 little ones ages 2 and 4. The home is definitely child-friendly, with woods out back to make forts, take walks, etc. The communication with the owner was wonderful! They were very accommodating and quick to reply to questions, etc.. Their home was beautiful and clean!!!! We were so blessed to be able to have a safe Thanksgiving holiday together! Thank you so much!!!
