North Upper Truckee or “NUT” neighborhood as locals call it is a very quiet area off the beaten path. You are about 5 minutes to Raley’s at the Y but you feel like you are much farther away from town. This quiet county neighborhood is best for families and those looking to relax. Just a short walk or bike ride from this home are miles of forested hiking and biking trails.
Drive times to attractions:
Heavenly Mountain Resort - 20 mins
El Dorado Beach - 15 mins
Stateline/Casinos - 23 mins
Zephyr Cove - 25 mins
Camp Richardson - 15 mins
Sierra-at-Tahoe - 20 mins

Vacation Rental Ordinance
We welcome guests who are in compliance with El Dorado County's Vacation Rental Ordinance. Please see the “Additional House Rules” section for full ordinance. If our guests do not abide by the ordinance, there may be a charge of up to $2,000 to cover county fines. In rare cases, guests may be asked to leave our home and forfeit their reservation. We do our best to communicate with and warn our guests before it comes to that. Thank you for your doing your part to keep Tahoe a safe and friendly place to live and visit for years to come! :)

Thank you and happy travels! :)
By renting this home you agree to and will abide by all of the following house rules:
25 or older to book: Similar to renting a car, you must be 25 or older to rent our home.
County Rental Ordinance: The following laws were set forth by the county and apply to every home in Tahoe:
1. 10pm - 8am is the county quiet time for all rentals.
2. Trash cannot be left outside and must go into the bear box or dumpster only.
3. We cannot host extra people or allow parties.
4. We cannot accomodate extra cars or parking on the street.
5. No excessive noise, loud music or yelling.
*In order to protect this owner’s permit, we reserve the right to charge guests up to $2,000 to cover fines from the county. We also reserve the right to ask guests to vacate the home and forfeit all monies paid. This is a rare occurrence and something we highly dislike doing so we do our best to warn our guests before it comes to this. Please keep your cell phone on you at all times during your stay so we can get ahold of you. Thank you!
Pets & service animals: Unless otherwise specified on the listing, our home is not pet friendly. Service animals and emotional support animals do best at pet friendly homes. We have lots of pet friendly homes, contact us for details.
Damage: We have a “You break, you buy” policy when it comes to damage. You are responsible for reporting all damage to us during your stay. Failure to report damage, may result in being charged for it. We do inspections before and after every guest.
Supplies: We provide most items in bulk for our guests with the exception of toilet paper & paper towels. We supply 2 toilet paper rolls per bathroom and 1 paper towel roll per booking. This is usually enough for a 2 night stay. If you feel your party will need more please bring it with you. Extra toilet paper & paper towels will only be supplied to guests staying with us 3 or more nights. Please do not remove ANY supplies from our home and leave all extra supplies for the next guest. Including but not limited to: olive oil, salt, pepper, foil, trash bags, dish pods, etc. Removing supplies from our home is considered theft which is not cool and not something we tolerate. If you are unsure if something if yours, it’s best to leave it on our home.
Snow chains: If coming to Tahoe during the Winter, El Dorado county law states all vehicles, even 4WD, must carry chains.
Good neighbor policy: Our home is in a quiet, residential area filled with full time people that are not on vacation. Please use your best judgement when it comes to noise/demeanour to be respectful of the neighbors during your stay.
Walk with Care: Our walkways in Tahoe are icy so make sure all members of your party have snow friendly shoes and walk with care. We are not liable for falls or slips on the ice.
Cancellations: We have a cancellation policy and highly recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance to cover you in case of bad weather or illness. However, we are human too. Please let us know if you would like to cancel and initiate the cancellation process on your end right away. If the home can be rebooked for the same dates, you will be refunded in full.
Smoking: Our home is non smoking. If someone in your party needs to smoke please do so off property lines and dispose of your cigarette butts appropriately. Do not toss butts on the ground as we do not enjoy picking them up.
Fraudulent Claims: We believe in running an honest business and expect our guests to have the same mentality. Falsifying or embellishing home issues with the intention of receiving money back is something we do not tolerate.
Unforeseen Home Issues: When renting someone else’s home, issues can arise that are out of our control and that could have not otherwise been prevented. Please communicate all issues you may face to us as soon as they happen so we may be given the opportunity to rectify them.
Open flame fires: Camp fires or bonfires are illegal in the Tahoe and can result in a huge fine from the county.
Drive with Care: Our home is located in a residential neighborhood where the speed limit is 25mph. Please drive with care when coming to and from our home.
Carpets: Please remove your shoes inside. You will be responsible for any new carpet stains.
Security Cameras: Most of our homes have security cameras on the exterior only. There are never cameras located inside the home. Not only are interior cameras not allowed, we feel they are ethically wrong so rest assured Guest privacy is something we take very seriously.
Snow Removal: We cannot guarantee snow removal services to the roads and driveway will be completed by the county and/or snow removal vendors within a timely manner. Delays during heavy snowfall are to be expected. Snow shovels are provided onsite.
Towels: We supply one bath towel and one wash cloth per occupant. If you feel you will need more please bring with you.
