Welcome to The 1942 Cottage! Our newly remodeled 2-bedroom, 1-bath cottage, boasts a unique blend of modern upgrades and classic coastal decor with a dash of mid-century flair located in the heart of Sarasota!
Our cottage is 5 miles from the pristine sands and turquoise waters of Siesta Key Beach. For your convenience, Sarasota Memorial Hospital is 1 mile away, and downtown is a short 2 mile drive. Also, the sophisticated St. Armands Circle is a mere 5 miles away, offering upscale experiences.

NAVIGATING THE AREA:
The Bay Runner is a new, open-air trolley that provides complimentary service seven days a week, until midnight, with multiple stops along the way between Lido Key, St. Armands Circle, and downtown Sarasota!
GUEST ACCESS:
Guests will have exclusive access to the entire home during your stay. There will be NO access though to the detached garage or storage shed.
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
1. Pet Policy: **This property is NOT pet friendly. Please note, if we find evidence of an unauthorized pet in the home, we will ask for it to be removed immediately and guests will be charged a $500 non-refundable fine. This is also grounds for immediate removal of the guests from the home.
2. NO Smoking or Vaping or E-Cigarettes: **Smoking or Vaping or E-Cigarettes are NOT allowed on the premises. If any signs of these are documented, the renter agrees to pay a $200.00 / per day penalty fee. ($200 for every day of the rental period).
3. Quiet Hours: Quiet hours for the property are between 10:00 PM and 8:00 AM. Please keep the noise levels down over this time as to respect our surrounding neighbors.
4. Potential for Noise: Please be aware that this is an 82 year old home and you may experience some road noise during peak hours of traffic, but the road is quieter at night.
5. While we do live on the premises, we are hands-on hosts with a hands-off attitude. We like to say hello in-person and to ask if there is anything needed after check-in otherwise we keep to ourselves
