About this property

Walk to the Mercantile, downtown, Osage Nation offices, Osage Tribal Museum!

Clean and comfortable 4BR 2 bath house six blocks from the Pioneer Woman Mercantile and downtown Pawhuska—even closer to Osage Nation government offices. Our family’s 1925 home away from home has provided hundreds of budget-conscious guests an ideal place in Pawhuska, including couples taking an overnight detour to eat and shop at the Merc, sisters/moms and daughters/girls/ladies weekend getaways, consultants and corporate trainers in town for a few days, families (large and small) looking for a place to spread out, play, and relax, work crews looking to share a space (including full kitchen) while maintaining their privacy.

Don’t let the wood paneling fool you! Our house isn’t foofy and we don’t have doilies, but we have comfortable beds,

Cute-n-Quirky!

If you're wanting super modern and bland, this is not the property for you. If you like a little funkiness and enchantment, you should definitely check this one out! Our family SO enjoyed staying in this spacious charmer! We had plenty of room to spread out in this home, the hosts were readily available and so helpful, and the house was one of the most well-stocked (toiletries, kitchen items, blankets, etc.) we have ever had the pleasure to visit. Oh! And the location! We LOVED being able to walk to downtown! We would love to stay here again one day!

Overnight stay

The property was adequate for our overnight stay to see the town and mercantile. It was well situated. The driveway needed improvement. The ladies said that the bathrooms needed upgrades. Overall it worked for us.

Very comfy!

We enjoyed our stay here!! It was so spacious and had lots of rooms to accommodate big families or groups. The home feels just like grandma’s house…very comfortable and accommodating. The host warmly reached out to us before and during our visit there. We were also welcomed by a neighbor who gave us insights to other local places to visit. We were very, very close to the Pioneer Woman Mercantile, restaurants and stores. We even learned more about a famous Academy Award winner cowboy, and an Award winning movie that was filmed down the street. Had a great time.

Disliked: Cleanliness

The blue house.

The house itself is a cool old house. But the kitchen needs a deep clean. There was food in the microwave from the previous visit. Beds are comfortable. Some of the furniture is trash. The bathroom window shutters are stuck in the open position. Some of the other windows either don’t or won’t lock. This property has great potential, if the host cleans it up.
