My parents used to take us to places like this in the 70’s. Instead of cold turkey retiring from my aerospace career, I decided to keep working but in a relaxing environment. We couldn’t afford to live on a lake, so we decided to buy a resort on a lake. Then, Kelly and I found this gem of a resort and our dream came true. I’m from Detroit and Kelly is from Connecticut.
Why they chose this property
The resort faces West so we get unobstructed sunsets, the forests are everywhere, Central Lake is small and friendly, it’s very quiet, clean, safe and full of community spirit. Also, we are close to many awesome cute towns, farmer stands, Lake Michigan and Torch Lake.
What makes this property unique
These log cabins were built in the 40’s and 50’s using the cedar trees on the property. The cabins are true vintage gems that help you feel you’re on vacation. We include numerous amenities free (kayaks, paddle boards and boats, etc.). You can bring your own boat and leave it tied to one of our five docks all week. Or we have rental boats and a pontoon. For extra fun. Also, many of our guests stay here all week without ever venturing out. We are the owners and operators so there is no property manager middle person you have to deal with or fund. We are on-site full time to keep the resort pristine and assist your needs. We love this place and many guests said as much. About 60% of our guests come back every year. Many guests rent all the cabins for a special family event. We are pet friendly and I make sure the dogs (Including our pup Dexter) do not bother any other guests.
