With its vibrant character and prime location in a sought-after central neighborhood, this 100-year-old home places you within easy reach of downtown, the airport, and iconic attractions like the Pearl, museums, the Riverwalk, arenas, theaters, Trinity University, and the Zoo.

Upon entering this first-floor residence, you're immediately welcomed by the home's unique blend of comfort and quirky vintage charm, reflective of its storied past. The living area, spacious and inviting, is equipped with a TV featuring ROKU setup, including Netflix, HBO Max, and Amazon Prime channels, alongside an assortment of games, cards, and books for leisurely entertainment.

Two beautifully furnished bedrooms each boast a quality queen-sized mattress, ensuring a restful sleep. The master bedroom features an ensuite sitting room—ideal for savoring your morning coffee or accommodating an infant with a pack-n-play/portable crib, which is available upon request.

The bathroom retains its vintage charm while offering an array of modern comforts, including towels, soaps, shampoos, and other necessities. Unlike other Airbnbs, the kitchen is well-stocked with appliances, utensils, a Keurig coffee maker (pods provided), spices, and oils, making it easy to prepare and enjoy meals in the adjoining dining room, which seats four (high chair available upon request).

For entertainment, a small TV/Gaming room off the kitchen, furnished with a TV (ROKU), gaming chairs, and a new Xbox series X console with controllers, provides a dedicated space for gaming, TV viewing or just relaxation. A compact washer/dryer, iron, and ironing board in the laundry room add to the conveniences of home.

Outdoor enjoyment is found on the small deck at the back, offering a quaint space to relax and connect with the serene neighborhood atmosphere.

Families will appreciate the availability of a high chair, portable crib with sheets, and pack-n-play ensuring the littlest guests are well-catered for (these items must be reserved in advance).

While the property is a duplex (i.e., a structure containing two separate residences), this listing is for the first-floor residence only. Please note that guests seeking more space can inquire about renting the entire house (up to 8 adults), we have a separate listing on VRBO for these types of bookings. Note that part of the charm of this historic construction means you might hear the everyday sounds of life from the unit above given that there are original wood floors above.

With thoughtful amenities and an unbeatable location, La Casa Abuelita invites you to experience San Antonio from a home that's as rich in history as the city itself. Whether you're exploring the nearby sights or enjoying the comforts of this unique property, your stay promises to be memorable and convenient to all that the city has to offer. It is quaint, colorful and eclectic and is perfectly situated in a much sought after location in central San Antonio. The house is a quick trip to downtown, airport, and most of the popular visitor destinations (Pearl, Museums, Riverwalk, Arenas, Theaters, Trinity University, Zoo to name a few). Lovingly refinished original hardwood floors, original artwork and a unique color palette make this home's interior stand out.

Note, as mentioned above, that there is a high chair, portable crib with sheets, pack-n-play and toddler gate available for your use. These must be reserved in advance and will be set up prior to your arrival.

This unit provides ONLY street parking, but you can nearly always park directly in front of the entrance.

We continue to improve the property. Ask if you have some particular storage needs (e.g., bikes, equipment, etc.) we may be able to accommodate storage during your stay in the shed in back. Never hurts to ask.
