Historic Townhouse Condo in the center of Boston, across from the Public Garden

Facing the Public Garden in Boston's most elegant and prestigious neighborhood, Beacon Hill, our 1700 sq. ft. home, completely renovated in 2019, is central to the best Boston has to offer. Restaurants, galleries, boutiques, the Charles River and Boston Common -- all just steps away!

Enjoy Boston and live like a Bostonian in our newly renovated, sophisticated and relaxed garden duplex home. Located on Beacon Street in Beacon Hill opposite the Public Garden and Boston Common (the oldest city park in America), our apartment occupies the first two stories of a historic granite-faced 1828 Asher Benjamin townhouse. The home receives sunlight all day long and offers spectacular park and city views. It is, of course, fully air conditioned..

The main floor (Parlor level), with magnificent 11 foot ceilings and beautiful woodwork, is comprised of living room with TV and gas fireplace, as well as a brand new open plan Siematic kitchen with island and dining area. These two areas are separated by beautifully restored original pocket doors. Beyond is a powder room and a bedroom/den (sofabed) with an adjoining outdoor terrace in back.

Three bedrooms are one level down (Garden level). The main bedroom has one queen bed, two fully outfitted closets and en-suite bath with tub/shower. The second rear-facing bedroom has two twin beds and a walk in closet. In front, there is a single smaller bedroom with a full bed and outfitted closet. Off the hallway there is an additional full bathroom with a glassed in shower. The baths are fully tiled with specialty tiles from StoneSource.

Together, the bedrooms sleep 7-8 comfortably.

The Boston Experience

We visited Boston to celebrate my teen son’s birthday along with his buddy and our younger son. This was the perfect stay—many happy memories were made. The apartment is in the quintessential Boston location, an easy perch to step out and enjoy all the city has to offer. The owner is gracious and attentive and the apartment accommodations are sparkling clean and.as described. Will certainly stay here again.

Lovely stay in Beacon Hill

Location is amazing - right across from Boston Commons park, and very close to local eateries and shops. The apartment provided the flexibility we needed to accommodate our family, and the pocket doors closed off the living room from the kitchen area, which prevented our one year old from falling down the stairs. The master bedroom is quite spacious and includes an ensuite bathroom with deep tub. The other bedrooms are smaller and share a bathroom with shower. The kitchen was well equipped, and we appreciated that there were plenty.of garbage bags, dishwash detergent and even laundry detergent. Even a welcome bag of chocolates! Peter was an excellent host and was very responsive to our requests. Would definitely stay here again!

Amazing Condo!

Perfect location, super walkable to everywhere in the immediate city. Gorgeous view of Boston Common right outside of the main floor living room window. Just doors down from Cheers, a 2 min walk to Acorn Street, 10 min walk to the North End, 5 min walk from Newbury Street! Very clean property, accurately described, and great communication from the property manager.

We just had a quick overnight stay and wanted to be close to everything. Location was perfect. Close enough to the airport and walk to pick up the freedom trail in the commons and trek to the north end. Host was extremely accommodating.

The property was in great condition and I really cannot think of a better location to explore Boston from. This house is central to everything. Amazing location

We had so much fun in Boston and staying so close to all the places we wanted to visit was amazing and very time saving. We were able to visit something in the morning, walk back and rest a bit and then head out again. One bed was small for a couple to share but I already knew that from the pictures which represented the space very accurately. I was okay with the size because the location was so amazing.

Amazing townhouse in an amazing location!

This place is fantastic! My family was in town visiting colleges and sightseeing, and this townhouse was perfect for us. One morning was quite rainy, and we were able to sleep in and eat a lazy breakfast and watch TV until the skies cleared. We all had plenty of space and bathrooms, and the laundry was super helpful. This was the perfect launching spot for our adventures, and Peter was an incredibly gracious and helpful host.

Favorite Place to Stay in Boston

This place is fabulous! We have stayed in several rental properties around Boston, and this is our favorite - by far! A recent renovation means that the property is bright, airy and clean. We loved the location and had fun walking around Beacon Hill and beyond. Peter was very helpful and communicative during our stay. Amazing property and location

Our family stayed here on our trip to Boston. You can’t beat the location across from the Public Garden and Charles Street around the corner has great restaurants, coffee, quick groceries, etc. The unit is two floors and is updated and clean. The kitchen is beautiful and has everything you need. We felt we had plenty of room to spread out and relax after a day of exploring. We enjoyed morning coffee on the back patio. Cheers is steps away and was great place for a drink and bite to eat when it wasn’t busy. Stay here. You won’t regret it!

Perfect location and amazing house

Everything in this VRBO is new and beautiful. It was spotless, and Peter was so accommodating. The pictures really don't do it justice. There are actually two twin beds in the downstairs bedroom, which was a nice surprise because we were only expecting one. There was plenty of space for all of our kids to spread out. We had everything we needed for our stay, including all of the little touches that a lot of rentals don't have like laundry detergent. 10/10 we would definitely stay again.

Boston is a beautiful city. Beacon Hill is the most beautiful and livable part of Boston. Add the park view, the immediacy of the Charles River and Esplanade and access to downtown... there was not too much to think about!

What makes this property unique

Beacon Hill is the most elegant and historic neighborhood in Boston and is known as one of the finest urban neighborhoods in the United States of America. It is at the center of Boston, walking distance from every principal attraction. Next to the gorgeous city parks -- the Public Garden with its Swan Boats and famous Ducklings, the Boston Common, the Esplanade and the Charles River as well as the Hatch Shell, it is also home to Charles Street, one of the most photographed commercial streets in America. With great restaurants and bars, high-end stores, boutiques, galleries and antique shops, along with fine food and wine shops, Charles Street has it all. An evening walk through the gaslit streets of Beacon Hill is often considered a highlight of any trip to Boston. It is all at your door.

All that listed above is within a two to three minute walk from our front door.

Within a five minute walk is the world class destination shopping and restaurants of Newbury and Boylston Streets, Chinatown and the Back Bay, the State House and the Freedom Trail, Downtown Crossing and the Downtown business district.

There are three T stops within a five minute walk. There is a Hubway (city bike rental) directly across the street. But you'll primarily be walking. Everything is that close!

The famous Cheers Bar (from the classic television show) is on our block, just a hundred yards away!
