Such a relaxing spot!
Came to town for a family gathering - 40+ from coast to coast. Loved coming back after our nightly gatherings and relaxing - LOL. The last evening everyone came out for a Happy Hour/Trivia night. The main room is so spacious and holds so much character - it was an ideal spot. Afterwards, we walked across the bridge to Perkins Cove to enjoy the many dinner options. Communication was good, place was clean and comfortable. The host, and family, were friendly and helpful. I would love to return!

My wife and three older children spent our first week of three in Ogunquit. We thoroughly enjoyed the Knight’s cottage. Quiet, yet a short walk to Perkins cove and the Meandering Way path to the Beach. We had a great week.

Rustic Retreat at Perkins Cove
Had a great week with the whole family in Ogunquit. Having previously stayed closer to town in prior years, was not sure how being closer to Perkins Cove would turn out. Turned out great. Really enjoyed the proximity to Perkins Cove and Marginal Way. Plenty of dining and shopping options and an easy walk to downtown Ogunquit. The home provides both rustic charm and location to Ogunquit attractions. Found the home exactly as described and better. Really enjoyed views from the screen porch and the cooling breeze. Tessa and John are excellent hosts. We definetely recommend.

Charming summer cottage nestled in trees above Perkins Cove
This is exactly what we hoped it would be -- a rustic summer cottage with all the basics, including an old-fashioned kitchen with microwave and coffee machine, fireplace for cool evenings, laundry machines, wireless, and TV (if that's your thing). I preferred reading on the porch. The cottage has a peaceful wooded feel, even though it is just steps away from the cove and the art museum. The owners have deep roots in the town, and they are very attentive without being at all intrusive.

Great experience. Perfect location.
My husband and I had a great 2.5 week stay at the cottage. My adult children joined us for a week and there was so much room for all of us. More than enough space for 6 adults! This is a rustic old home but has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The WiFi was strong and I had no problem working when I needed to. John and Tessa (and their 2 beautiful kids) live on the property and are the nicest and most helpful hosts you could have. They’re available if you need them but give you total privacy also. They will gladly share the history of the house and John’s family in the area which added a lot of interest to our experience there. They are generous hosts who care that you enjoy your stay in Ogunquit. Being able to walk to Perkins Cove in just a few minutes for morning coffee or dinner or to walk the Marginal Way was a highlight of our trip! We definitely recommend John and Tessa’s place!

Cozy and comfortable unique 1920s cabin
Beautiful windows, comfortable rooms, open plan first floor with a fireplace and large porch with ocean view made this a great place to spend a couple of weeks. An easy walk to Perkins Cove and the Ogunquit Museum of Art. Owners Tessa and John were warm, helpful, and welcoming. Hope to stay again.

Perfect Maine vacation spot
From check in to check out (which were easy and fast) we had the best week! Our home away from home had plenty of space for 5 adults and 2 5 year olds! The common area had enough space for my neices to play and color when we were just hanging out but also enough space for the adults to play games or just relax as well. You cannot beat the proximity to Perkins Cove, the Marginal Way and even to the restaurants and shops in Ogunquit. All within reasonable walking distance. The hostess and her family were right next door if we needed anything but the house had everything we needed. Would definitely recommend!

Rustic Charm Close to Everything
This house is just as listed. Rustic charm, a 5 minute walk from Perkins Cove. Our hosts were wonderful and so nice. The house is large and we stayed very comfortably with our 3 teenagers. The house is rustic and not fancy but perfect for a week of sand and sun. The new washer and dryer were a huge plus for us with beach towels to wash. The secluded spot was perfect yet we were a 5 minute walk from the cove and the marginal way and drove into the beach part of Ogunquit daily and found easy parking.

Beautiful cottage by the sea!
My husband and I stayed here for a week in June along with our adult children and our granddaughter. It was one of our favorite trips so far to Maine. The house is very beautiful with great history, charm and lots of amazing old details throughout the house. We loved the amazing huge windows that light up the dining and living areas, the old hutch in the kitchen and the beautiful brick fireplace we got to use on the rainy days. The owners are there for anything you may need and the are very sweet people. They left lots of little touches to make everyone feel at home like new coloring books, crayons playdo and a lot of games& puzzles for the kids. The bathroom had been stocked with bandaids, tissues, sprays, feminine products and a bunch of little things you may end up needing but didn’t think of. You can walk right down to Perkins cove and you can see the ocean through the trees from the screened in porch. There’s a gas grill we cooked dinner on two of the nights and a large dining room table that fit all 8 of us comfortably. The cottage is tucked away off the road with two other similar ones which makes it feel private and like you are off in the woods away from everything yet you are right there by all the main attractions of Ogunquit. We went to the main beach one day which was nice but a bit crowded. We still had a great time there though! The tide comes up very far in Maine almost until the beach is gone. I think hightide was sometime near 2:45 so maybe plan your beach time around that. We also went to the beaches in Wells which are right up the street from Ogunquit and they are very beautiful as well and less crowded. We liked them a lot . We truly had such a blessed vacation and loved this house very much! Thank you Tessa for everything and for your kindness & attentiveness even during the season you and your family were going through! 💕

The most charming Maine home imaginable!
From beginning to end, this was the best vacation our family has ever had, in large part because of the house and the family who owns and manages it! The house was beyond charming and comfortable, and it was equipped with everything from firewood to brand new craft materials for the kids. The owners met us and gave us so many great ideas for what to do in the area, and answered any question we had promptly during the week. We hope to make this an annual tradition!

Perfect Maine Vacation Rental
My husband, adult daughter and I rented the Knight house for one week, and we all agreed that it was a wonderful vacation spot. Mr. Knight's son, daughter-in-law and two adorable children greeted us and provided us with maps and other information. The house is just as described - a little rustic and absolutely charming. We spent most of our time on the screened-in porch, which was great. The house is off the main road and surrounded by trees. It feels like a real get-away even though you are close to everything. It was the perfect Maine vacation. It was so perfect that we added an additional night because we didn't want to leave.

Peaceful vacation
Tessa, John, and Rick were all very accommodating, wonderful people and helped to make our stay a breeze. The house was in a peaceful wooded location but within walking distance of Perkins Cove, restaurants, town and a short drive to multiple beaches. The house was simple, charming, and basic which is exactly what we were looking for to unplug and spend our days out at the beach and nights on the porch.

Wonderful stay at a magical "cabin"
My family and I went for a 3 week stay in Ogunquit - seeking some much needed time together. Myself, my husband, our three children, 12, 7 and 5 years, stayed here with my mother very comfortably. The big open main room was perfect for family dinners, and play time for the kids. The house is "rustic" - unfinished in parts with open framework - lending itself to a beautiful cabin feel. This was just what we were looking for - if you are looking for glitz and glamor - this is not the place for you - however, if you are looking for a well loved, cabin feel and don't mind "roughing it" doing your own dishes - then this IS the place for you. The location was ideal - located in a wooded area with two other homes - it was very quiet. - From the front porch you can see the ocean above the tree line - and the ocean air blows up from the cove if the wind and the tide are just right. I walked many times with the kids down to Perkins Cove from the house - just a 5-10 min walk - crossing the drawbridge - and going to get ice cream to out to dinner at Barnacle Billy's. The Marginal Way walk begins right down in Perkins Cove as well - which we did on a cloudy day - not too hot and not too crowded - and just gorgeous. The center of Ogunquit is a short drive - with MANY restaurants and shops - mostly, however, we ate at the house. Ogunquit beaches are so beautiful - we spent many days at the beach - enjoying how much they change with the tide - and how much there is to explore at the different tide levels. The owners/property managers of the house were absolutely wonderful. I can't say enough about what a kind family they are. Before we even arrived at the house - Tessa answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. Once we were there we had everything we needed. If I ever had a question or needed anything to be addressed they were right there responding quickly - making sure that all our needs had been met. Being on vacation - spending this time with my family was very special - and having extremely pleasant attentive people to deal with throughout our stay made it that much more enjoyable. If we are able to take this special time away again next year - we will certainly be back!

Wonderful old fashioned summer vacation!
We had such a great time at Rick's cottage that we added another day! He was great and responsive - we only had to call to see if we could stay longer. The charming cottage was even better than the pictures and description. We had 5 of our 20 something aged kids coming and going during our trip and there was plenty of room. The house is like an oversized, old time, rustic, seaside cottage with beautiful architecture and everything you could need. There are multiple sitting areas in the great room for down time but you can all be together too. There is a large fireplace with plenty of firewood and tv with cable for watching movies, etc. The kitchen is fully equipped and had anything we needed. The beds were very comfortable and there are ACs in the bedrooms if needed but we were fine with the fans. The Wifi worked great too. You can see Perkins Cove and the Atlantic with waves hitting the rocks from the screened in porch. I started everyday with coffee sitting on the porch watching the sunrise. For our vacation we wanted to go to a beach but also wanted to be in the woods and close enough to home so our kids could come and go. We live about an hour away so I couldn't believe my luck when I found this house. It is on a secluded road up a hill in the woods right across the street from Perkins Cove. Pine trees surround the property and there is even a pond right behind the house! When the wind is blowing just right you can hear the waves and smell the ocean and when it goes the other way you smell the pine trees. We walked to Perkins Cove every day and had breakfast at the Cafe, lobster rolls and hot dogs at the Footbridge Lobster place, ice cream at Barnacle Billy's, lunch at Oarweed, Dinner and drinks outside at Jackie's Too. We walked/jogged the Marginal Way a few times and took a lighthouse cruise. This was all just from walking across the street! One night we walked to the Cove and took the trolley into Ogunquit so we didn't have to drive. But when we went to the beach it was a very short drive to Ogunquit Beach and we spent the day playing in the waves, walking the beach and people watching. My son got the most beautiful sunrise pictures at the beach too. The only other time we drove was to play mini golf up the road in Wells. It was the best vacation and we loved the house and location!
