Centrally located downtown, The Gould Swaby Mansion is touted as being Seneca Falls’ very own “Old Granville House.” The mansion's prior owner (Amelia Gould Swaby) was a “close personal friend” of Elizabeth Cady Stanton who wrote Susan B. Anthony's speeches and brought the first women's convention to Seneca Falls. It is located across the street from where Alice Paul was in attendance for the ratification of the 19th Amendment and footsteps from a number of the region’s acclaimed wine trails.

The mansion sits on a corner lot with a front, side and back yard alongside an old carriage house. A number of attractions are just steps away including:
-Van Cleef Lake (1 min. walk)
-The Cayuga-Seneca Canal (1 min. walk)
-It's A Wonderful Life Museum (1 min. walk)
-Seneca Museum of Waterways & Industry (4 min. walk)
-Women’s Rights National Historical Park (6 min. walk)
-It's A Wonderful Life Bridge (8 min. walk)
-National Women's Hall of Fame (8 min. walk)
-Ludovico Sculpture Trail (9 min. walk)
-Elizabeth Cady Stanton Home (15 min. walk)
-Canal Locks CS2 & CS3 (19 minute walk)

Or take a short ride out to several top sites in the Finger Lakes including:
-Sauders Store (4 min. drive)
-Cayuga Lake State Park (6 min. walk)
-Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (7 min. drive)
-The National Memorial Day Museum (7 min. drive)
-Seneca Lake State Park (15 min. drive)
-Finger Lakes Welcome Center (17 min. drive)

-Granger Homestead & Carriage Museum (39 min. drive)

Tourists who love history and historic homes

We enjoyed our stay in this apartment in a historic home. It is under renovation, but no disturbances during our stay. It is cute, and met our needs. We used the kitchen to prepare a light supper and breakfast.Harry was a delight to talk to

Great location!

Beautiful historic home near downtown Seneca Falls and the Women’s Rights Historical Park. 2 comfortable bedrooms, kitchen, & bath. It is an upstairs apartment, so know you’ll need to carry your stuff up a set of stairs. Sven graciously carried ours up as we are ladies of an advanced age. John and Sven are very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this property!

Place was overall in good condition. I would think about adding TV's in rooms in the event a rainy day and people need to stay in. Also I would put fans in the bedrooms as the air condition in the kitchen only goes so far. Owners were nice and otherwise no issues.

It was a nice place but doesn't have a t.v. its just 2 rooms and a kitchen and a bathroom. Would have given better if there was a tv. And there was no washer or dryer. Otherwise it was a nice stay

Dog Friendly & Centrally Located

Wow. What a great place, so charming and outfitted with nice linens/towels etc. Very understated with nice art throughout. We loved the center of town is essentially out the front door. But off a block that’s quiet. Lots of places for walking our pup including off-leash areas. Looking forward to another visit where we can actually spend more time in this charming town and all that it offers. The host was so responsive any time we had a question. Very helpful. What a great recommendation Cafe 19 was for early morning coffee and pastries. We did this instead of making it on the apt as we needed to get an early start to complete our xc journey.

Very cute and clean. It says 2 bedroom and literally these are 2 bedrooms and kitchen with dining nook. So if you are thinking there is a living room - there is no living room. This was not a problem for us but some guests may be thinking there would be a couch or so that could sleep another person and there isn’t. The apartment fits max 4 people.
