Bedroom 2 (1st floor - Two Twin beds) highlights the fun and adventure of The Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. A favorite regional attraction for many year-round, including The Polar Express train ride in the months of November and December.

As you walk up to the breathtaking views from the large open deck complete with outdoor seating for 6 and additional seating for 2. Enjoy relaxing on the huge wrap around deck and porch! On those chilly days, grab a blanket from the loft and a hot cup of coffee or hot cocoa and soak in the beautiful view from one of the many rocking chairs as you watch the sunrise over The Great Smoky Mountain National Park.

The gas grill and bbq area is right off the kitchen for easy access. The wrap-around porch gives you the space you need to enjoy the outdoors.

"I have literally hundreds of pictures taken from the porch…You can’t hear traffic and you definitely won’t see other people." – Abriana

Hot Tub:

"The view alone is worth it let alone the hot tub and it’s view is incredible." - Rosana

In the evenings a secluded hot tub awaits you downstairs with views of the mountains. We have added an outdoor speaker system that can be played from your phone to the hot tub area. Relax and listen to your favorite music while enjoying a glass of wine. Trust me you won’t want to leave.

Firepit

Perhaps one of the best features of this house is the fire pit area. Where else can you sit at the edge of a mountain and have views like this? We added a modern fire pit complete with wood stocked in an open shed. We provide our guest a wheelbarrow to transport the wood to the fire pit area. Enjoy playing your own music under the lights while gazing at the view. We have outdoor speakers complete with in-ground subwoofer to make the experience unforgettable.

Outdoor Music and Speaker

We have added two zone of speakers one by the hot tub and the other by the fire pit area. Play Spotify, Apple Music, Pandora, etc. from your phone through this high-end system complete with outdoor satellite speakers and in-ground subwoofers. You won’t want to leave the outdoors.

Around the Area:

"Location was great - close to Bryson City, the National Park, and Cherokee." – Jenna

The house is located about 20 mins from Bryson City and about 20 mins from the Nantahala Outdoor Center. You’re within a half hour drive of all major attractions, hiking areas, restaurants, and the Harrah’s Cherokee Casino.

"Close access to such amazing places: we loved tubing and paddle boarding and hiking in the area." – Courtney

• Hiking (Road to Nowhere, Tsali, Nantahala Gorge, Junkey Whank Falls, Tom Branch Falls, Indian Creek Falls, etc.)
• Tubing (Deep Creek River)
• Mountain Biking (Tsali Mountain Biking)
• Whitewater Rafting (Nantahala Outdoor Center)
• Kayaking (Little Tennessee River, Tuskaseegee River, and Fontana Lake)
• Fly Fishing (Fontana Lake)

"the location of the property to downtown Bryson city/ nearby hiking is great. We will definitely be coming back :)" - Stephanie

Guest Access

Guests have access to the entire home and outdoor area. The property sits on over 5 acres so when the leaves are on the trees you won't see anyone. There is parking for 2-3 vehicles at the top and a secondary drive can serve as a back area so you can head down the driveway with confidence. The drive is partially paved and partially gravel. It is a bit steep on your turn into the driveway. Some guests feel more comfortable driving up the mountain a bit and coming back down to the driveway. There is room at the top to turn around, so you won't need to back out the driveway.

"The driveway was steep but totally manageable. We even did a sunset in the national park, got back pretty but late, no worries." – Tammy

Other Things to Note

"Close enough to Bryson city and other excursions, but remote enough to take in the beautiful mountains." – Luisa

After each guest, we thoroughly clean and refill the hot tub to ensure it's in pristine condition for your enjoyment. However, please note that the hot tub will not be immediately heated to your desired temperature upon your arrival. It takes some time for the water to heat up to the desired temperature, so we ask that you adjust the temperature as soon as you arrive if you plan on using the hot tub during your stay. The hot tub should bever be set above 104 degrees for health reasons.
