Only 1 review so far because this a new listing on vrbo. On another platform I am a Superhost, have almost 200 reviews, a rating of 4.99 out of 5 and my house is a Guest Favorite.
As soon as you walk into the house, you feel at home. A comfortable cathedral-ceiling living room with a gas log fireplace and the recently remodeled kitchen are on the main floor. A porch on the back overlooks trees and Henderson St. A master bedroom with an extremely comfortable king bed and a full bath are also on the main floor. Two bedrooms, a half bath and a full bath, a sitting room and laundry room are on the lower level. Each bedroom has a sound machine, for those who are used to using them. All the mattresses are super-comfortable! There's even a place to safely store your bicycles! Since the house is built on a sloped lot, the main floor is street level and you go down stairs to the lower level. The house is larger inside than it looks from the outside.
We offer a starter supply of coffee (K-cups) and tea with all the fixings as well as many seasonings and condiments for cooking your own meals. We also have a regular drip coffeemaker for you to use with your favorite coffee.
There aren't many vacation houses this close to downtown Saluda, where you can visit wonderful shops, galleries, restaurants and cafés and not worry about parking your car. There is plenty of room for parking in the circular driveway. "Saluda on my Mind" is surrounded by trees and includes an adjacent wooded lot. Even though you're "in town," it's very peaceful.
Guests let themselves in using a smartlock code. Except for an owner's pantry and owner's closet, guests have access to the entire house: living room, eat-in kitchen, porch, bedrooms, bathrooms, TV/sitting room and laundry room. Guests are also welcome to enjoy the yard and the adjacent wooded lot.
Other things to note
- The main level has central heat and air. There's also a gas log fireplace. Usually it's cool enough in Saluda in the spring and fall with the windows open and the ceiling fans on. The downstairs level is heated with baseboard heaters. It usually stays cool in the summertime downstairs, but there is a window AC unit if you need it. Ceiling fans are in the living room and all the bedrooms.
- The two TVs use Roku streaming.
- The host fee is for the cleaning service.
- Minut, a noise monitor, is installed to protect the property and help enforce the house rules. It does not record or infringe on your privacy.
