*The home is available for weekly rental during the months of July and August. During the academic season, September to the end of June, the home is available for a minimum of 2 nights. Please inquire before sending a booking request. Family oriented neighborhood home within a safe community. Two private beaches offering two different experiences. One has a raft to swim to and the other has a shallow swimming/wading area with an enormous sandbar. The association has playscape, basketball/pickle ball court, club house, bingo and movie nights for the kids, ice cream parties, tennis and swimming lessons. Nearby there is a children's museum, miniature golf, and athletic park.

Lovely CT Beach House
This was a lovely place to stay! Charming neighborhood right near the beach! We felt very comfortable in the home, it was clean, well furnished and well-maintained! The host, Barbara, was great to work with and fast to respond. We would stay here again!

Quiet & Restful
Very nice house in a quiet oceanfront community. We were primarily interested in rest and relaxation and we certainly got that as the neighborhood was extremely peaceful during our off-season November stay. The property was easily accessible off I-95 although the streets immediately around the house can seem like a bit of a maze until you get used to them. Local attractions like the Florence Griswold Museum and the Essex historic district were within easy driving distance and we could actually walk to nearby Rocky Neck State Park. The household amenities were accurately described in the listing. We wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend the house to others.

Wonderful Location!
I wanted to take my teenage boys away for the NJ Teacher Convention long weekend (November), so I needed somewhere to go that was driving distance and had activities for teenagers. I found this beautiful home and a quaint location, and it had enough room for my boys to each bring a friend. Barbara was amazing with communication. She responded to all of my messages within minutes, and she was super helpful. She recommended places to check out in the area. The home is in a beautiful location. Quiet (probably because it was off season), safe, and just a few minutes walk to the beach or the community center. There was plenty of space for all five of us including the full kitchen and sitting area. This was a mini-vacation that we will remember for a long time!

What a gem! The home was better than expected, plus larger and more comfortable than we thought it was going to be. The neighborhood with private beach is amazing. We can’t wait to return.

Just What We Needed
Everything was just as listed, clean, roomy, everything ya need. Close to beaches, however we were not aware that most of the beaches were "No Pets" and we did have our small dog Arthur with us. GREAT STAY and relaxing

Niantic House Near The Beach
Everything about the listing was accurate. The house had all of the conveniences one could imagine. It was clean, easy to get to, and centrally located. While it was near the beach, access to the beach had to be via walking since there was no where to park. But overall we rated it five stars. The owner was wonderful to work with and we loved Niantic. We would recommend the property highly.

Pleasant stay
My kids, sisters, and mom all enjoyed our stay! Barbara was communicative abut check-in and the process was easy. The house had everything we needed and was conveniently located a short waking distance to the beach. We had a very pleasant time and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice, peaceful getaway.

Home away from home
This property was a home away from home for us. The beach is only a short walk away, you can see the sunset on the water from the porch (through a clearing). The host was so accommodating in everything. We had a wonderful time on the property, and there was plenty of room for extra family from the area to visit during the day. We would definitely stay here again. This was the off season, so I can imagine during the summer, it’s a dream to stay here. Everything was just as pictured online & there couldn’t have been better communication from the host.

Very comfortable, beautiful home
There was more room than expected in the house. We had a total of 10 on the first few nights and there was plenty of room for all. Everything we could possibly need was there. The grandkids loved the beaches, especially the long low tide at the state park. They loved catching crabs at the dock, and the playground at the community center. When we had rain, there was plenty to do in the house.

Ideal location
We stayed at the beach house for a week and it was perfect for our family with children. Spacious, easy parking, and ideally located. We were close enough to walk to the beach (we went to the one by Rocky Neck. Note there is no parking or loading at the private beach unless you have a pass. There are also no bathrooms or even trash cans at the beach). Backyard shower was a must post-beach. Outdoor seating at the house was so nice, the sun shade was really helpful. The association area we felt was quiet and safe. We did not use the club house amenities but they were available. Inside, the house is older and appears to be getting upgrades, with a newer kitchen and living room set. Everything was clean and comfortable, good water pressure, and the ac window units worked well which was super important for the record heat!! Thank you to Barbara who responded very promptly with my questions. We would stay here again for sure. Thanks!

Host was immediately responsive and very helpful. For our purpose, the location was very convenient. Our grandkids lived the clean, safe & nearby beach (we walked there). A note if you travel there by air & rental car versus a personal vehicle as a large group: linens are not provided.

Great Beach Vacation
The house was nice and met all of our needs. The communication with the host, Barbara, was great. The two beaches within walking distance are great, one has a small beach area that wasn't busy when we went, while the other beach is more busy but is a lot of fun at low tide, as there is a nice sand bar. The walk to either beach is about the same, with both being down hill from the house.

Great location!
This cottage is more like a home and is a great location for kids to enjoy the beach. Easily walkable to multiple beach options! The bedrooms are roomy and have double beds in all 3 rooms. The deck was great and we enjoyed most mornings out there. We would have liked an outdoor shower (the one here is more more rinsing off feet and suits) but overall, a very nice rental.

This property was purchased in 1966 and was a summer cottage until it was intentionally burned down to make room for a year round home that was completed in 1994. The location and all that it has to offer is spectacular. From early morning walks on the beach to fiery sunsets at night, this place has it all.
