This place is not only gorgeous but absolute serenity. If you are looking to relax and enjoy the beautiful outdoor this is just the place for you. Our family had an amazing time and will definitely be back!! Can't wait to book our next trip to this little piece of heaven. There is everything you can think of in the cabin, all you need to bring is your clothes and the rest is taken care of. Traci is absolutely amazing and was so informative and helpful the entire trip. Thanks so much for sharing your happy place with us!!
Great home! Great Hostess! The home was very clean and tidy with many items that travelers may forget including a very well stocked kitchen and pet friendly! My family and I would definitely book again and would definitely recommend that others go!
The property and house were both beautiful. It was wonderful not having to worry about bringing a ton of baby stuff since the house had it all (especially the big ticket items). The owners were very easy to contact and quick to respond. We all had an amazing time there!
We loved the property. We had great communication with the hosts and were only around a 20min drive to Hocking Hills State Park. Everything was beautiful and in a great state! We would absolutely stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay immensely! So much so that we ended up cooking at the home rather than going out to eat.
Pond in the Pines Cabin sits on a beautiful property with fun trails to explore and the pond to enjoy. The home is truly beautiful with many nice touches, very clean, and very relaxing!
Traci is a great host!! We will come back for sure!
What a great place to stay. The owners have thought of everything. The house is clean and comfortable. The property is huge, and really provides a sense of getting away from it all. The pond is full of fish and makes for an enjoyable fishing experience. We would definitely stay there again!
We enjoyed our stay at POND IN THE PINES CABIN!
The host has done a fabulous job in decor and ambiance at the cabin that made it feel like home away from home. Views are beautiful, and hiking paths to the pond were enjoyable to walk.
The house is well stocked with items you may need, very clean and beds were comfortable.
We felt very secure at the location.
Would recommend this cabin to anyone who seeks peace and guiet and to enjoy nature. This would be a good place for families with children who would like to give them an experience with nature.
Hope to stay again sometime.

We had a wonderful stay at Pond in the Pines cabin! The cabin was very clean, beautiful, and looked even nicer than the pictures. Traci’s communication was excellent the entire time from the check in process, checking in throughout our stay, and the check out process. She even left us a bottle of wine and chocolate on check in! For anyone with dogs, we brought our fur baby with us and he probably enjoyed himself the most! The property is completely secluded and he enjoyed being able to run around and visit the pond. We had a wonderful time! Highly recommend if you are looking for a cozy retreat in Hocking Hills!
Property was exceptionally clean. Great care was taken to make the home well stocked. Very accommodating for our dog as well. Host really thought of everything, and cared about our satisfaction. Total privacy and make for a perfect getaway weekend. Highly recommend!!
I had so many things planned but this home was so comfortable that we just hung there. Anything I forgot they had it there including dog bowls. First time I’ve ever stayed somewhere where the place was as beautiful as the pictures. We all needed to relax and we did. Complete with fishing and a boat at the pond. We will be back.
What a great property and location.....
We visit the area multiple times per year and have rented many different cabins. Some good, some not so good. No need to search for anything different now.
The cabin was extremely clean and exactly as promised in the listing and photos.
The 27 acre property is very well maintained, with an established trail system and pond to hike and explore.
Plenty of time can be spent on the property, in addition to being in close proximity (but not too close!) to the usual (popular) hiking locations.
Little details matter, and we appreciated that everything was well thought of in advance.
Traci was a great host, with clear instructions and communication.
No complaints here! We will be back....
Best way to describe this property, all you need to do is insert people and food, everything else has been provided! The property is so unique and beautiful, the owners have taken so much care in renovating the house and caring for the land and pond.
A few tips/notes, the trail to the pond is off the backyard and is very well established and not too far of a walk, halfway to the pond is a well marked split with signs to continue to the pond or veer off to a trail path. Note, the walk back up to the house gets a bit steep, great workout! We enjoyed so much time at the pond fishing, paddle boarding and boating. My husband was the big winner with catching 26 over our 3 days! We purchased worms/bait from a gas station about 10 miles down the road on the way to Hocking Hills State Park to hike. We brought our own fishing poles but the owners do provide a couple fishing poles and lures as well. Our three kids really enjoyed the paddle boats and the fishing boat that were provided as well. We also really enjoyed the well established trails throughout the property, lots of different trails…very calm and serene. My husband and I enjoyed morning coffee, walking the trails or sitting by the pond each morning! We didn’t get to go to JimBo’s restaurant because they were closed Monday-Wednesday, but did check out Mains in McArthur for burgers/ice cream, yum! we are looking very forward to rebooking this property for fall break next year and extending our stay! Jump on this unique find!
Before we even got to the house, I was in contact with Traci the owner with a few questions. She was the most helpful hostess I have ever communicated with! When I say the house was clean, it was spotless! You could take a white glove and not find one speck of dust anywhere! Even the globes on the ceiling fans were spotless. They provide everything, dish and dishwasher soap, shampoo, conditioner, body soap, TONS of nice fluffy towels, laundry soap and dryer sheets. They even have cleaning supplies in case of spills or whatever! The furniture was clean, new and comfortable, the beds, sheets and mattresses were wonderful, I even asked about the mattresses to see about buying for my own home, Traci sent me the link right away! They have just about every appliance you would want to use in the kitchen. Besides your clothes and food, you don't need to bring anything else. The TV has Roku and Netflix and other apps the WIFI was fast, there are games and books to read. The property is nice with a fun pond and walking trails. I like to bird and there was a wide variety of birds everywhere, with a feeder and a bird bath outside to watch feeder birds also. There is a very nice fire pit, but due to ban on fires in the state we were not able to use. We had a great time!
We went to Kindred Spirits for dinner one night and it was great! Their brown butter cake is so good!
If I could rate this experience higher than 5 stars in every category, I would! When we arrived, the host had left us wine, muffins, and a thank you note. I had an open line of communication with the host the entire stay and she went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. The pictures of the property don’t do it justice. Everything is brand new and the host thought of everything with the amenities. My husband and I love to go fishing and the pond is what sold us on booking this property and it did not disappoint. We caught lots of blue gill and very large bass. The pond is truly private and was a big part of where we spent our time on this trip. We brought along our 15 year old daughter and our 2 fur kids, Marlee and Zeke. They are both larger dogs, one being a Rottweiler and the other a Boxer and they LOVED every minute of their stay as well. Plenty of room to run and play! Old Man’s Cave and other popular hiking trails were just a 15-20 minute drive away. If you are looking to relax at a beautiful property, in a cozy home, and you love to fish! This place is definitely for you! I am already looking into booking this place again in the next few months! We loved it that much!

About the host
Hosted by Traci Nichols
My husband and I currently live in Knox County, but my husband grew up in the Hocking Hills area and we always knew we wanted to eventually own a little slice of heaven there. The natural beauty of the area, along with the the incredible rock formations, caves and waterfalls is truly amazing . It is truly one of the most undisturbed areas in Ohio. When we found the right property, we had to take a leap of faith and buy it. We hope you love it as much as we do!
