SELF CHECK IN: Access code for the lock box is EMAILED to the reservation holder w/in 48 hours of arrival. Be sure to complete your guest check in form after booking and provide your email address and contact phone.
DIRECTIONS AND CHECK IN INSTRUCTIONS: For the privacy of any staying guest, physical addresses are not provided until booking and confirmation is complete.
DIGITAL GUESTBOOK: Directions, check in instructions, and everything you'll need to know are available provided in the digital guestbook! The link is sent via email after booking and completing your check in form. We'll also send via SMS text message prior to arrival.
ACCESSING THE HOUSE: The paved driveway has an upward slope from the road that goes under the house to a private motor court. The entry is up the steps on the back side of house and out of view from the road. Keypad entry requires your unique door code.
PARKING: Outside paved parking easily accommodates 2 vehicles and guests have access to the 2 car garage for additional parking.
RIVER RULES: Swimming and wading are NOT permitted in the river. This is for your safety and protection of the river environment.
The Neighborhood:
A short walk to Midtown make this an ideal location for quiet solitude, river views, and quick access to the best of Ruidoso! Winding roads follow the Rio Ruidoso and pass through the mountains with tall pines, quaint bridges and lots of wildlife. Amazingly, you're only 7 minutes from Ruidoso Winter Park and the highway to Ski Apache, 5 minutes from Grindstone Lake. The neighborhood is a quiet residential area, perfect for listening to the mountain breeze in the tall pines and star gazing at night.
Ruidoso is a picturesque alpine village nestled in the the Lincoln National Forest of Lincoln County, boasting some of the greatest areas for outdoor adventure with over 10 miles of hiking and biking trails, 3 area lakes, championship golf, and more. A day trip can be filled with amazing natural wonders at White Sands National Monument, and Valley of Fire State Park. History buffs will enjoy a short drive to Fort Stanton and even Old Lincoln, the city were Billy the Kid made his famous escape! Head to Ruidoso Downs and watch the quarter horse races live! In the winter months hit the slopes at Ski Apache. Packed with fun and adventure, Heaven's Peak provides the perfect vacation home to create lasting memories.
Getting Around:
Roads through the neighborhood are paved. Some areas around Ruidoso and Alto are hilly to mountainous but generally easy to get around year round. During winter months, guests are encouraged to have access to 4-wheel drive and/or snow chains in the event of a major winter weather event. Check weather and road conditions before travel. Be sure to check out the Winter Weather tab of the digital guestbook sent after booking. For extended stays, travel insurance is always recommended.
