High Hope-Escape to A Tranquil Cabin Retreat at 4000 Feet, Pet friendly
Welcome to High Hope: A Serene Mountain Retreat at 4000 Feet
Nestled at 4000 feet on the side of a mountain, High Hope is a charming cabin that offers an escape you'll never want to leave. This idyllic retreat is perfectly suited for outdoor enthusiasts, whether you're a hiker eager to explore the trails or someone who simply wants to relax on the deck and enjoy the serene beauty of the surrounding woods, wildflowers, and the soothing sounds of Winchester Creek.
High Hope features a 3 bedroom, 2 bath layout with an inviting open floor plan. On the main level, you’ll find two bedrooms, vaulted ceilings, a wood-burning fireplace for cozy evenings, and a spacious kitchen equipped with modern amenities including Wi-Fi, heating, a washer & dryer, and Smart Lock for convenient keyless entry. The master bedroom boasts its own ensuite bathroom, and both bathrooms offer a tub/shower combo for relaxation after a long day of adventures.
The upstairs area transforms into a great hangout spot, featuring two single beds, a trundle bed, and a large 55" TV—ideal for movie nights or lounging. Open the windows to let in the fresh mountain air and the tranquil sounds of the nearby creek as you drift off to sleep.
Located just minutes from the Balsam entrance to the Blue Ridge Parkway, High Hope is conveniently close to mountain adventures, fine dining, shopping, and local breweries. The cabin is only 6 miles from downtown Waynesville and a 30-minute drive to Cherokee and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, placing countless activities and scenic spots at your doorstep. Make High Hope your next getaway destination and experience the beauty and tranquility of mountain living.
A well-behaved dog may be permitted by the owner, provided the dog is crated when left alone. We also require that dogs not be allowed on all beds and furniture nor scratching flooring and crated when left alone. Provided towels and linens are NOT for pet use, please be a responsible pet owner; pet owners who do not follow the rules are subject to additional cleaning fee. Respecting these guidelines enables us to continue to offer a home for pets and their families. A non-refundable pet fee of $150 is required prior to arrival. Prior approval is required to bring more than one dog and an additional pet fee will be required to be paid. We will request the additional monies after the reservation is confirmed.
If any pet is brought to the premises without receiving prior approval and/or the $150 per pet fee being paid, you will be charged a $500 pet penalty for each unauthorized pet and subject to being asked to leave immediately!

"This house is a dream vacation stay, from start to finish! It has all the things I look for when I travel: comfortable bed and linens, communicative hosts, a (very) well stocked kitchen, and thoughtfully appointed accommodations throughout. The house is cozy and clearly well loved. I especially appreciate the art, the privacy every guest is afforded by the setup, the roominess (so big!) and the incredibly beautiful creek below the house. Of all the places I’ve stayed in the area (my son goes to college locally), this is my favorite. I’ll be back!”
