Nice hotel but I had trouble with RoomPicks
The property was nice - large room, clean and good restaurants within walking distance. It was also nice that it was dog friendly, with lots of good places to walk my dog. The problem was that though I thought I was booking with VRBO, the host was RoomPicks, and the hotel was Best Western, adding another layer of complexity. When I checked in the hotel charged my credit card though RoomPicks had already charged it. I had to call RoomPicks and VRBO several times over several days to get RoomPicks to pay the hotel what I had paid them. The problem, it appears, was that the hotel charged a pet fee on top of what I had been charged already so there was a mismatch of amounts which took a few days to work out. Unfortunately it was mostly on me to work out, which was frustrating when I was on vacation. VRBO did eventually refund my pet fee. The only other problem was that on two nights of my four-night stay the hotel was booked with groups of middle schoolers, so the halls were super noisy until about 9:30 pm, which was annoying.
