About this property

Experience the vineyard and winery life at our beautiful casita, located on the west side of Paso Robles on Vineyard Drive, just steps from the Oso Libre Winery tasting room and surrounded by vineyard on three sides. This historic cottage has been fully remodeled and features two suites, both with a luxurious king size bed and its own private full bathroom. Guest will enjoy the casual hospitality that Oso Libre Winery is known for, including a welcome bottle of our award winning wine and an opportunity to truly immerse oneself in the winery life with a stay on our farm.

A fully equipped kitchen, a comfortable living room with large flat screen TV and gas fireplace accent will add convenience and comfort to your stay at Casita Oso Libre. The cottage also features a washer/dryer for exclusive guest use. Enjoy the patio picnic area out back, featuring our "hobby vineyard" a BBQ and a fire pit sitting area, and enjoy the wildlife, evening sunsets and the bright stars from this remote country location, that is just a short drive from downtown Paso Robles. Be sure to check out the event calendar at the winery, as one might coincide with your visit.

Ideal wine country retreat for one or two couples

We were one of the first paying guests in this property, and everything was as clean and new and tidy, as you would expect. The rental (more house than casita) is spacious and nicely appointed with good lighting, comfortable seating, and excellent comfy beds. One little plus that we appreciated (and that I wish more rentals and hotels had): a set of hooks at the front door. Especially because it rained while we were there, it was nice to hang wet jackets as soon as we came in. The kitchen was well-equipped, and we made use of it and the grill to cook dinners and enjoy wine without having to drive after dinner. The laundry facilities were appreciated, as our stay was at the start of week three of a three-week road trip. There are pleasant outdoor sitting areas to take in the vineyards and bucolic surroundings, but we weren’t able to use them because we hit a cool and rainy couple of days. Nights were very quiet. It was amusing to watch the alpacas! And, of course, you are right next to one of the very best tasting rooms in Paso Robles! Sarah at Templeton Vacation Rentals was very responsive to a couple of emails (just working out minor kinks in a new property—like a motion-activated exterior light).
