About this property
Rock the Night Away in Historic Guest House
Summary:
Calling all music lovers! Enjoy easy access to popular shops and restaurants from this charming place surrounded by three of New Orleans' most famous streets Bourbon St, Royal St and Esplanade Ave!
The Space:
The Royal Barracks Guest House is a historic and eccentric six-room guesthouse (think B&B without the breakfast!). Rooms are accessed through exterior corridors behind a dedicated, locked gate for maximum safety and privacy.
The guest house features an amazing courtyard dedicated exclusively for our guests, a very popular place to hang out and sip coffee or a cocktail. Be shaded by mature Magnolia trees in our lush courtyard, listen to jazz, and swap stories with other guests.
Royal Barracks Guest House is nestled on a surprisingly quiet, residential street. It is a relaxing oasis in the hustle and bustle of the city. Walk half a block and you are on famous Bourbon Street, or cross Esplanade and explore Frenchman Street and the Marigny.
Guest Access:
You will have access to our beautiful and peaceful courtyard and your private room with a dedicated, private bathroom.
The Neighborhood:
The house is in the city’s historic heart, famous for its vibrant nightlife and colorful buildings with cast-iron balconies. Crowd-pleasing Bourbon Street features jazz clubs, Cajun eateries, and raucous bars serving potent cocktails. Quieter streets lead to the French Market, with gourmet food and local crafts, and to Jackson Square where street performers entertain in front of soaring St. Louis Cathedral.
