We had a wonderful stay at this quaint fishing cottage! The property was exceptionally clean and well-equipped, making our visit both comfortable and convenient. The highlight was definitely the stunning view of the river from the cottage, which provided a peaceful backdrop to our mornings and evenings.
The owners were incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that all our needs were met. They provided canoes and kayaks, adding a fun and adventurous touch to our stay. Additionally, the cottage is conveniently located near a charming old-fashioned downtown area with delightful shops and restaurants. We cant forget to mention the eagle's nest located on the property.
Overall, it was a lovely trip, and we highly recommend this cozy retreat for anyone looking to enjoy both natural beauty and warm hospitality.
We Love this place, was our second time. On the Delaware River.
We got a few rafts tied them together and an anchor, stayed in the same place all day in the sun. If you’re lucky like we were you’ll see an American Eagle swoop down and pluck a fish out of the river. We BBQ every night and had a fire by the river. It was hot outside but the cabin was cool.
We're staying for 2 nights and we really enjoyed it
Small, clean and quiet cabin, very comfortable and equipped with everything you need
Thank you Pat and Andy for our wonderful weekend
An excellent place to rest after noisy NY:)
The cottage it self was great .The issue we had was the steps to the cottage to be fair it should state that the entrance to the cottage is very much a challenge.
So to be fair the listing should give more input on how to enter with caution on the very loose wooden steps.
Total relaxation with the splendor of the Delaware River just across the lightly-traveled street. Too early for river sports but there’s plenty of hiking in the area’s many parks, easy access to services with a walk across the bridge to Callicoon (market, restaurants, movie theatre, a few shops) or just be still to watch the eagles fishing for hungry babes in the nest above, river ducks and geese, and small drifting boats with fly fishing folks. The front bedroom is tight and the second is dark yet we slept long and deeply. We had everything we needed with easy access to Pat and Andy for both a WiFi outage and a circuit breaker outage with a speedy fix for both. The many and fully-screened windowed sun room with its rockers is a favorite to have morning coffee and plan the day. Multiple space heaters for chilly days, good water pressure and plenty of hot water. This is our second stay at Cozy Cottage and will be back. Thank you, Pat and Andy!
The cottage was immaculate, and the information given in their binder helped us navigate the local attractions. We traveled on Friday the 13th, and had all the bad luck that follows that folklore...lol. I made friends with the chipmunk, and a deer that would come down the side of the mountain each morning. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful weekend getaway, this it the place!
This is our 4th trip to the cozy cottage and we are already planning our 5th!! The location is amazing, the house is perfect, has everything you need. Perfect location by the river, for a lazy day hanging by the water. Pat and Andy are great hosts, always so welcoming and helpful. We absolutely love it there. Cannot recommend it enough!!
My boys and I had a great time staying here as a home base for fishing and rafting in the Delaware and going into town for a movie. If you're coming to the area, you can't go wrong!
Was a wonderful and relaxing little cabin! We loved being on the water and also being so close to town at the same time. The owners were kind and very approachable in case we ever needed anything. Definitely will recommend!!
The cabin was a cute little place. Good for 2-3 people. Super clean and the owners seemed very friendly. Too bad the weather didn’t cooperate while we were there.
We had such a great time at this adorable lil cottage in the trees. The cottage itself was small and there were lots of steps to get to the river but it had everything that me and my 2 boys and husband could have needed for a weekend trip with the intent to go fishing. The canoe and kayaks were exactly as described and came with life jackets and oars and the cute lil beach right on the side of the river was perfect. The weather wasn’t great but the rain held out enough to get lots of time on the river in. We didn’t get a chance to use the fire pit by the river but that was ok because there was a small one up by the cottage that we used twice and it was a perfect place to roast marshmallows and listen to all of the frogs and eagles and other critters. The walk into town was short and the town of callicoon is super cute with lots of good options for food.
We had a great time and would highly recommend this place.
Cozy, cozy property set on the side of a hill with a lovely view of the Delaware. We were there in June and it was nice and quiet, during peak summer months may be more bustling. All-in-all, a pleasant stay.
The cabin is so much fun!! Feet away from the Delaware river. Kayaks cabins and rowboats to use. A fire pit. The cabin itself is so hide and cozy. Walking distance from town and a great park for my son. The porch is so nice to sit and have a drink at night 5 stars. Would definitely stay again. Thank you!
The cabin was perfect for what I needed. A retreat in a quiet, comfortable, adorable home riverside. I took advantage of the fire pit on the Delaware and listened to a concert (soft sounds) coming from calicoon. I fished and kayaked, went to the farmers market in Calicoon; and hit the peak of the peak season for autumn - exploring some local trails. are the concert: I was too comfortable to get up from the riverside/ fireside spot to explore where the beautiful sounds came from. The cabin was clean and maybe the hosts won’t like me saying this, I appreciated that the list of house ‘rules’ were more about me enjoying myself than me cleaning up after myself. I’m a clean person but so many locations I’ve rented provide a longer checklist about what to before leaving that makes leaving anxiety provoking. I happily left the bed unmade And I think cared for the place as I would in any normal situation, great communication, a super awesome location and will recommend to friends.
What a great little cottage for a weekend getaway. Close to town, great river view, very clean and well maintained. Pat was responsive and helpful. Would love to come back during the summer to get better use of the river and see the town truly alive, but fall was still a great time to visit. Thanks Pat!
This is our 3rd year staying in this little cabin, and we couldn’t love it more! It’s the perfect place to get away and enjoy the Delaware River and little town of callicoon. The Cabin has everything you could need, and Pat and Andy are the the friendliest hosts. We are already planning our next trip up to their property.
The location of this cozy cottage is perfect right next to a calm area of the Delaware. An ideal spot for kayaking, swimming, and lazy river tubing. We enjoyed campfires by the river at night. The cottage has all the amenities needed. Pat was so gracious during our 2 night stay. She was quick to respond to our questions. Sweet little relaxing getaway spot.
It was clean. The stairs getting up to the place where a little unsteady. Not a place for anyone who has a hard time with stairs. May have been some mice issues, did not see any, I heard some bags being rustled in the middle of the night. The views are great. The owners live next door and are super friendly. You have use of a couple kayaks and canoes, but they definitely need to be cleaned. It was nice being on the river and for that reason I would stay here again. It is pretty private which is nice.
The hosts Pat & Andy were there to meet & greet us, and were gracious hosts. We had a wonderful time, and the cottage was nice & cozy. Thanks again for your hospitality.
Came from Pittsburgh to see dmb @
