Excellent get away to relax and unwind, do a little fishing, swimming, two tracking! It’s great because it’s midway between Manistique and Munising about 20 minutes both ways, we loved it! Lots to see and do!
Beautiful place, quiet, and close to all the sights.
Property was clean. Location was perfect. Close enough to all the sights. We cooked out, and had a campfire. Perfect place to come to after a long days👌
We loved our stay at the cabin. The view and the lake access was unparalleled. Convenient location, near Munising and Indian river. The kitchen was well stocked and the cabin was cozy.
My son did a state project for school which inspired our trip and the UP and this rental did not disappoint. My kids have already asked to come back next year!
We enjoyed a very relaxing stay at the Iron Skillet. The lake was gorgeous and the cabin was fully stocked with all the needed amenities. The location was central to so many great hiking trails. Thanks for a wonderful time!
Jackie's property was beautiful, cozy, and a delight. We want to thank her for the lovely stay! We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation that gave us many happy memories with our family. The cabin had everything needed plus some things we hadn't even thought about! It was a great location to do everything on our U. P. list!
This cabin is adorable! Up to date, comfortable and beautiful setting/location. Had wonderful amenities right down to food dishes and treats for the fur baby. Highly recommend and will book again when we return to UP next.

Alll was perfect. Couldn't have asked for more
Enjoyed our time at the cabin and in Munising. It was more than we had hoped for. Too much to do and see will have to go again. Jacqueline was awesome! Thanks for a wonderful time.
The cabin is really nice and clean. Perfect for my family of five. Kitchen has all the essentials. Great store down the road (Midway) for anything you need. They do homemade breakfast burritos which are great and have ice cream which they are very generous with their scoops!! Enjoyed fishing (caught a few bass) and campfires. Would stay here again.
I was thrilled with our stay at the Iron Skillet. The property is beautiful! The cabin is decorated to be welcoming and was spotless. The hostess truly provided an experience where we came with our food, clothes, toys and were good-to-go! I'd go back tomorrow if I could! Thank you Jackie!
We had the most enjoyable week in the upper peninsula, and the cottage was the perfect homebase. We really enjoyed the property, which included lounging on the hammock, relaxing on the swinging bench, drinking morning coffees on the dock, admiring the lake, gazing at the stars at night, and roasting 'smores at the firepit. The kitchen was well equipped and cottage fit a family of 4 (with dog) nicely. WiFi worked very well. Jackie answered any questions we had and was a great host. It was a wonderful home away from home.

Nice small cabin in the wilderness.
We enjoyed the place mostly. It's quiet and beautify by the lake Surrounded with forests.
There is no wifi or cell phone signal which makes it more restful for the vocation for people who came from Chicago.
The only thing that I would mention is that it's a two bedrooms and one bath small little house, which is not listed accurately on home away. If most of the guests are kids, it would work. It is kind of tight for four adaults.
Iron Skillet was perfect for our family of three and super dog friendly! Very clean, comfortable, and charming cabin with great dock and fire pit. Wonderful location on Corner Lake with access to several other lakes, fishing (for Northern Pike), and swimming. Ideal for lakeside campfires with s'mores, stargazing, storm watching, hunting for the Northern Lights, and card games on the lovely sunporch. Easy access to pontoon rental and great central location for very memorable day trips: glass-bottom boat tour for shipwrecks in Munising Bay; hiking to waterfalls in the Hiawatha National Forest; visit to Kitch-Iti-Kipi natural spring; and our personal highlights -- Pictured Rocks boat cruise; hike to Chapel Rock; and Lake Superior swimming at Sand Point! Our host, Jacqueline, was very responsive to any questions and especially kind to check on us after a big storm blew through the area. We'd happily stay here again!

Relaxation at the Iron Skillet
We stayed at the Skillet from 8/10/18 thru 8/17/18 and absolutely loved it. The house itself was perfect for our family of 5 and provided everything as advertised. We enjoyed fishing on Corner Lake where we caught Bass, Walleye, Northern Pike, and pan fish (gills and perch). The swimming area in front of the Skillet was also well used by our children. The serenity of the cabin location and property give you enough privacy with an awesome view of Corner Lake. We enjoyed campfires at night, fishing in the day, but mostly it was a great way to unplug and get away from the city. It is approximately 1/2 hour away from Munising yet the drive never seemed too bad. I would highly recommend this property for the family looking to get away and enjoy a true Up North feeling cabin. What a great way to enjoy the Upper Peninsula of Michigan!

great lake property!
My family and I had a very nice time at the Iron Skillet Cabin this past weekend. We arrived Thursday and left Sunday. My only complaint, I wish we had more time! The cabin is small, but who needs a lot of space when you have the beautiful lakefront yard. The neighbors were very friendly. Overall the lake was pretty quiet and peaceful, even on Saturday and Sunday. Being on the end of the chain of lakes, there is not much boat traffic. Cell phone service is very limited, which we were fine with because it forced us to become unplugged for the majority of the weekend. Our services were US cellular, with very spotty service, and Sprint got no service. The owner did forewarn us about this, so we were prepared.
The cabin is about 30 minutes from Munising, which is a very nice small town. I would recommend doing the Pictured Rocks Tour, but dress warmly! There is a grocery store right in town that you can get anything you need.
We loved our stay, and look forward to coming again in the future!

It is a very nice cabin right on the lake inside Hiawatha forest
We were a family of 4. Did go to Marquette, pictured rocks & shipwreck at Munising, Soo locks, Taquamenon falls, Oswald bear ranch and just driving in the unpaved roads. Cabin has everything to cook, nice sitting area to eat breakfast, two bedrooms and a living area where we used to play poker after dinner. If you are used to live in big house then bedrooms will look small. We used the living room sofa beds. It has a nice campfire pit. Violet was nice to bring us coal, papers and starter fluid. There are two grocery stores 1 and 5 miles distance. Bring mosquito and insect repellents. If you have small kids bring emergency kit and regular medicine for fever, bandaids etc. Fishing from thr dock is quite fun here. Will be good if internet service via satellite is provided. Phones won't work in the cabin. Had to visit grocery store for wifi each day.
We had a great time! Everything we needed was there! Our morning coffee in the screened porch was awesome! The cabin/cottage was very clean! Perfect for our family! Jackie is awesome to deal with! We are going back next year! We highly recommend this place! Thank you Jackie!
Awesome cottage and great location to everything! Rental manager is amazing & thinks of everything!
We had a great time fishing and relaxing at the cottage. Clean and fully stocked. We also hiked, kayaked Picture Rocks. We can’t wait to
Come back again!
We enjoyed kayaking in the interconnected lakes and the tranquil setting.
