The photos looked good in the listing, but we were truly impressed with how comfortable and accommodating the property was. Great communication from the hosts, too.
We enjoyed the location of the property and the sights nearby. We came for a family wedding and it was a very short trip to the venue. All in all, a very pleasing stay.
This is a gem of a house. It's close to the water with freighters floating on by. It's in a cute neighborhood but just 2 miles to the city with everything you could need. The home is clean, and nicely decorated. Ŵe would gladly stay here again!
Close to everything! Nice backyard with a view of the water. You can watch the sailboats and barges go by. The house is very clean and accommodations are definitely sufficient for a small family. The decor is beachy and welcoming. We really loved the backyard area. The only drawback would be the beds lack comfort vs. a hotel bed. And the small ac unit probably wouldn’t suffice during hot days but we didn’t have a problem being 75 degrees the whole time. But for the price its a good value!
Great backyard for relaxing and getting a peak at the freighters. Very convenient for bridge walks. Perfect for our two-night stay back "home" for a class reunion.
We just stayed there two nights, but thoroughly enjoyed the easy access to the river to watch the boat traffic. Plenty of restaurants nearby. The house was clean and comfy!
We enjoyed our stay. Hosts made great use of the space available. Beautiful backyard with view of the river. Enjoyed walks to the riverfront and to the lake. Nice furnishings and cute decor.
The house was perfect for our needs. We walked to the beach a few times and walked/jogged along the riverwalk. The backyard is private and a nice spot for a fire. All in all very clean, quiet and convenient to lots of stuff.
This house honestly looks a little sketchy outside but it is so cute inside. Very well done worked perfectly for our get together. We really enjoyed it and would stay again. Very very clean!
All three of us really enjoyed this cute house! Excellent location and a GREAT backyard! We could see the water and freighters going by from the yard and enjoyed doing morning walks along the water. Beds were comfortable (we each had our own bedroom) and kitchen was well equipped. Only one bathroom but that was fine for the three of us. TV was great - we enjoyed watching movies via Netflix! Would definitely recommend! Owner was very responsive to any questions we had.
A great stay as usual. I am originally from the area but live very far away now so any time I get visit i look for this house in particular. It has a spectacular view of the water and bridge yet still pretty quiet location while close to anything you could need or want to do.
The house is cozy and had everything we needed. The living room was so comfortable, it would have been easy to stay on the couch for a week. With a view of the Blue Water Bridge from a large hammock the proximity to the water, the well-furnished back yard area was so much fun. I spent the first part of the week with my college aged kids and loved the local Gaming shop, Border Keep as well as all of the fabulous restaurants in Port Huron. We took in Courses at the Culinary Institute, The Raven, River Crab, and Freighters during our stay and each were superb. My sisters and I walked the boardwalk to get in our steps and loved the views. We plan to stay again next year because a few days was not enough to take in everything Port Huron has to offer!
Cozy getaway. Place was well stocked, clean and exactly what we were looking for. Comfy beds, plenty of blankets for cuddling on couch with a good book. Can see the blue water bridge from front door and freighters on the river on the back porch. Back yard all ready for relaxing in the summer. Look forward to staying again
We were looking for rest & a distraction from current world events. This cottage was perfect. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Warm & cozy. Our distraction turned out to be the freighters. The ones going north gave us a horn warning as they passed under the bridge. We would rush out in our new REI coats to the covered deck with a wonderful view of the river. We found the freighters schedule on the internet & were then lying in wait for the south bound freighters. We found the piece & quiet we needed. Only drove away once to get peanuts for the squirrels. We kept an eye on Canada. Nice place.
