Seadance is located on the Lost Coast of California in the charming oceanside community of Shelter Cove. This beautiful 3bd/3ba 2800 sf oceanfront vacation rental home offers stunning ocean views from nearly every room to help you unwind from your every day life.

Any time of year the Northern California coast is spectacular and the Seadance offers the space, views and relaxing atmosphere to immerse yourself in the glory of nature. Whether you relax to the soothing ocean sounds and/or engage in the many local outdoor activities, you will revive your spirt on the Lost Coast and return home rejuvinated.

From the moment you open the front door, the breathtaking ocean views will capture your attention and set the mood for a relaxing getaway. With ocean views from nearly every room in the house, numerous amenities, lovely landscape and so much more, you will appreciate why the Seadance hosts numerous families who return year after year.

​On the main level, captivating views command your attention from the beautiful living area which has comfortable seating areas, two full sleeper sofas, full bath and a beautiful fireplace. Also on the main level is a bedroom with a queen bed. The kitchen is well equipped with staples on hand - including a variety of spices.

​Upstairs the oceanfront master bedroom has a beautiful view and opens to the balcony and includes a king bed, full bath and sitting area. The third bedroom is across from the master and offers two twin XL beds. The third bathroom is on the second level with a claw foot tub and also includes the full size washer/dryer.

The upstairs entertainment area offers another full sofa bed, TV with Roku, DVD/VHS player, hundreds of movies, books and a pool table to challenge friends and family. Additional card and board game entertainment can be found in the downstairs cupboard.

Off the main level is a 1000 sf patio, dining area and fire pit to enjoy watching the waves, looking for whales, searching for sea lions and other ocean loving creatures. Want a higher ocean view, hang out on the upstairs balcony.

Shelter Cove airport has a 3400 x 60 foot asphalt runway 12/30 and general aviation pilots can land for free. Gyppo the local famous Pub Restaurant is at the corner of RNWY 30.

There are numerous activities within walking distance of Seadance - restaurants, gift and art galleries, deli, nature and fitness trails, tide pools, lighthouse, harbor beach, golf, blow hole and so much more.

Beautiful Place
This is my family's second time at Seadance and it's been wonderful every time. Amazing views right on the ocean, beautiful comfortable, quiet home, has everything you would need. It's worth the long drive from SF Bay Area. We stayed in December during winter storms and the summer and this house made any weather an amazing experience.

Wedding Bells in Shelter Cove
Seadance was the perfect answer for our family wedding: a four-day event on the beaches and other locations in Shelter Cove. The house us ideally located with a magnificent view of rugged coastline and splashing surf. We enjoyed cruising the area on the excellent bicycles provided for adults & kids — with helmets!! The outdoor fire pit was perfect for our nightly s’mores gathering, under a star-filed sky. Seadance is an elegant, bright, comfortable home. Stocked with good linens, a fabulous kitchen & tasteful furniture. We cooked, played pool & relaxed. We cant wait to return!!

Amazing property!!!

Reconnecting with nature and family in a beautiful home
The house kitchen and bathrooms have been updated since we visited last, and it was really nice! The view of the ocean is unsurpassable, along with the view of the stars and milky way at night. It was hard for us to leave and we look forward to keeping our tradition of coming back to Seadance in the future.

Of all vacation rentals, this was by far the best communication from owner and property manager. The home is very well supplied, the view cannot be beat and the Shelter Cove community was very welcoming.

Spectacular Front Row White Water View
This home ticked all the boxes. We are an adventurous family with adult children. We wanted incredible views, privacy, an open comfortable living area with various seating areas at a price that doesn't break the bank. The fire pit, pool table, and movies were fun, the kitchen was very well-stocked, and the home was tastefully decorated and immaculate. There were even bikes and helmets provided. We like to cook and planned meals and shopped beforehand which I recommend. Shelter Cove is off the beaten track, but we found plenty to do during our 6-day visit. We had a fantastic trip! The only thing I would recommend is a hot tub!

Great stay!
This was our second stay here and it was just as good as the first! The Seadance has all the amenities plus more! Everything is very clean, very comfortable beds, couches, recliners. Beautiful kitchen with ocean view. We will be coming for years to come! Highly recommended for anyone wanting the best view in shelter cove!

Ocean get away with a few close friends. Great opportunity for reflection watching the waves crash in.

Great place on the coast!
This was our 2nd time in Shelter Cove and we had seen this house that first trip, and decided to stay there should we ever return. Turned out to be a perfect decision. The location is just amazing and the views are stellar. Communication is excellent and the house is outfitted with high-end kitchen equipment and anything else you could think of (toiletries, cleaning items, etc). Dining, morning coffee, and having drinks on the patio for us were the highlight of staying at Seadance. Highly recommend!

A slice of heaven
The views & sunsets from this house were exceptional. The house was spotless & the kitchen was stocked with anything you could possibly need. The bikes & corn hole were an added bonus that we didn’t even know about before we got there. I would highly recommend this house!

Breathtaking
When you first arrive at the home it appears to be a modest house in the community. As soon as you walk through the front door, your entire world just turns upside down. The ocean view is spectacular and the only comparison can come from the balcony on the second floor. The home is well appointed and there was everything we could think of. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful throughout our stay in their home. There are very few places that I have returned to, however, I will definitely return to this oasis that calms the soul and rests the mind.

Fabulous, better than expected.
This was an amazing house, in an amazing location. Everything about it was perfect. It is spacious, well appointed and beautiful. We especially appreciated how stocked the kitchen was with spices etc. The sharp knives were also appreciated. We intent to stay in this house again. It was the nicest house we have ever rented. The property manager and owner were both very responsive to our needs. We felt well taken care of.

Comfortable relaxing spot in Shelter Cove
Unbeatable ocean views from the sea dance house. Shelter Cove takes a little more effort to get to but worth it. Compared to a coastal town like Trinidad the prices are cheaper and much less touristy. There are dozens of rentals in Shelter Cove but it’d be hard to beat the views and comfort of this house. Everything was thought of, so many details that made this a great experience. When I return to Shelter Cove I will be looking to this property for availability.

Amazing House, Stunning Views, Unforgettable Experiences, Gorgeous People!
This is our first stay at SeaDance. The house is beautifully designed, modern, comfortable, warm, and with stunning ocean views! The back yard of the house is the ocean! The master bedroom has terrific 180 degree of ocean views. The other two bedrooms can also view the ocean in one angle or the other. In addition to the ocean at the backyard, the house is facing the mountain. The mountain view is pretty as well. I really enjoyed the sound of the sea dancing. It is so powerful and at the same time, so mind-calming. It is our dream house!! Most importantly, I feel love in this house during our stay. Both Mary and Stephanie were very helpful and responsive. During our stay, they shared the local event info, hooked us up with local residents when we were looking for local art crafts, products, seafoods. They tried their very best to make our experience at SeaDance and at the Lost Coast as wonderful as possible. We had the 2022 New Year Eve there. People were having the fireworks next to the ocean - my first time seeing fireworks next to the ocean, from inside SeaDance, while the year-end masquerade party was held on the main street! It was such a lovely evening! And, the stars in the sky in the evening are so bright, clear and beautiful! We were lucky. The weather originally forecasted that it will be be raining 90% of our stay but it only rained the day when we arrived and the day when we departed. We had the most sunny and beautiful weather for 6 days straight! Thank you, Mary, for sharing your lovely house with us. Please continue to share. I would like to go back every year if not more. I have already recommended SeaDance strongly to my coworkers. They all showed high interest in including the stay at SeaDance as their future trips! Hopefully our next visit will get even luckier - that we can really see the visiting dolphins and the mama and baby whales!

Magical
Sea dance has been our “home” for many times over the years. It NEVER disappoints. It is festive, or serene, or anywhere in between. You can sit outside or inside the house and see waves crash all day, Walk to the lighthouse, the tide pools and the marina where they tractor boats out into the surf. Go to Black Beach, super cool and beautiful. Bring golf clubs and golf the awesome course around the airplane landing strip (full disclosure, it’s like golfing in a pasture, but it will be one of the most beautiful days of golf you’ve ever had). Or just hang out at the house in a chair on the patio or upper deck and read a book or play your guitar. Fire pit for sunset with s’mores for the kids. My 6 year old granddaughter calls it magical and I agree.

Heidi and I immediately fell in love with Seadance. The home is full of warmth, beauty and is truly magical. You can feel the force of nature looking out over the Pacific Ocean with unobstructed views. Here in Shelter Cove, you will step back in time to a quaint fishing village and its’ natural beauty will exhilarate your soul. It certainly has touched ours!

Seadance is very special. Previous owners Mary, Anthony and her father David, took pride in preserving this pristine ocean front home. Heidi and I, as caretakers will continue to expand and improve the level of hospitality you have come to love at Seadance to its highest level.

We are excited to be a part of the community and to tie in our Gold Country roots www.hundredacreoliveoil.com with our Lost Coast Home, Seadance.

Stephanie Andrews has been the local manager of Seadance and will continue to take care of our guests. She has lived in Shelter Cove for many years and is a beautiful soul who loves to help people find joy in life.
