Not Worth the Money
The listing promised one parking spot per room. The location said that is the rule, but people break the rules all the time and there's nothing they can do about it, and told me where I, "might find street parking."
When we opened the door to the room the scent of what I think was the cleaning solution Simple Green was so strong that it was tastable. This was true the whole time we were there, it never faded. The place was full so there were no other rooms.
My wife went to wash her hands and neither of the two pump-based soaps in the room had anything in them.
We tried to call the front desk with the in-room phone to tell them we were out of soap, but the phone didn't work.
The staff seemed overworked and as though the problems we were bringing to them were so common as to be tiresome. They are not empowered to do anything to solve them. A couple of them were sympathetic, but again, not really in a position to make things better.
They offered free in-room coffee, but the coffee cup was dirty.
The place was clean, but very rundown:
- there was a light out in the bathroom,
- the stairs have cracks
- the walls have dents and scuffs, and you can clearly see the patches in the walls and ceilings from older damage that wasn't repaired well.
The walls are thin and you can hear the music they play from 4 pm-10 pm daily as well as any additional music played by the neighbors in nearby rooms...the hotel knows this and offers free earplugs as a countermeasure.
