If you’re looking for places to eat, we have several nearby. Dale Hollow Sweets is right around corner, the milkshakes, cupcakes and fudge our favorites. They also serve a homemade cheeseburger that is yummy. The Bait Shop next to Dale Hollow Sweets, offers breakfast (we love the pork tenderloin sandwiches) and biscuits & Gravy. We love the buffet on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer at the State Park Islandview restaurant. This is an only a 3 minute drive from the driveway Last, the very fun “Mikes Landing “ located at Sulphur Creek Resort, is only a 12 minute drive by car. Mikes landing has live music and a waterfront bar/restaurant that can be reached by boat or car.
Our charming little town of Burkesville is a short drive and has several delicious restaurants. Our favorites are: Pizza Hut, Sounds Good Restaurant, Annie Ruby’s Cafe and the IGA grocery store. We also like Angie’s in Albany, Ky. Additionally, during the summer, Burkesville has a farmers market next to the town square.
