About this property

A perfect location for access to Greenville Counties best outdoor activities!

You could not have picked a location that was so convenient to many of the upstate’s most incredible outdoor destinations. Our goal is to ensure that your stay with us will exceed all your expectations. Our Creekside Cabin is a mix of off grid camping while still providing all the comforts of home. You will stay in a 168 sq ft cabin which is a heated and cooled space for sleeping and hanging out. The inside comes equipped with a flat screen tv, small refrigerator, kuerig cofee maker and a toaster oven and a cabinet stocked with cooking utensils, plates and silverware. Your cooking will mostly be done outside so we provide a charcoal grill (charcoal and lighter fluid provided) an aenvoy wood fired stove for your cooktop and a kitchen sink with 10 gallons of fresh water. The bathroom is split up with a pit toilet about 50 yards away and an outdoor shower stream fed, with a joolca instant hot water heater right outside the cabin. For dining and hanging out we have a picnic table under a covered gazebo with light and ceiling fan. For relaxation and enjoyment outside we have a horseshoe pit, cornhole and a hammock. There is a great spot to set up the hammock down by the stream at the fire pit.

Cute, unique experience!

This was such a fun experience in small-town South Carolina! The property is extremely well kept, and the cabin itself is very comfortable despite its cozy size… we would definitely stay here again! For anyone unfamiliar or wary about a compost outhouse, I can assure you this one is quite pleasant, which was greatly appreciated. My only caution to other travelers would be that this property is right off a frequented 2-lane highway. It quiets down at night, but is popular during the day. Don’t bother us, but it’s not always “peaceful”. Would recommend giving this cute little place a try!

Very nice

Enjoyed this place. Everything is tastefully arranged, clean and week kept. One suggestion...it would help to have some reflectors marking the entrance to the property. Hard to make it out when arriving at night.

"Life Is Good"

We loved Creekside Cabin! It was one of the best home away from homes I've ever experienced. It was set up perfectly to give you the ultimate camping experience and privacy, but not completely isolated. The whole area around the cabin was so beautiful, peaceful, and just really refreshing. We loved the gazebo with the awesome wood table for dining and the cabin itself is roomier than you expect. There was so many lovely sights to see and not far at all. Our toddler loved Wildcat Branch Falls, which was a literal mile away from the cabin - perfect hike, lots of big rocks to hang out on and cool down spot - shallow for the kiddos. Jones Gap State Park was one of the most beautiful areas I have explored and just a real good experience. This little cabin is just in the perfect spot - good places to eat nearby and an Ingles not far away to get the good stuff for the grill and wood stove that is provided. There is a real nice lake within walking distance right near the cabin and the walk is so pretty - shaded by trees the whole way. The people are real nice around the area and just the perfect stay for some upgraded camping/exploring life. The ultimate shoutout to Keith who was so kind, fun to talk to and really accommodating during our stay - he was super responsive and informative about the area and we really appreciated the check in a few days into our stay. We definitely want to come back at some point and miss the little cabin already. - Jordan, James, and Little Jack

Perfect weekend getaway

The location is perfect. The outdoor shower is amazing and it’s nice to slow down and cook outdoors while enjoying the sounds of the creek. We will be back!

About the host

Hosted by Keith Filter

Host profile image
Karen and Keith live in Greenville SC and love to be active outdoors. We regularly bike, hike, fish and explore the many great locations throughout the Upstate of South Carolina. They bought the Geer Highways property in May of 23 and are so excited to begin development of it, with the goal of turning this into a must stay destination. The location is perfect for anyone wanting to explore the outdoors or just relax and unwind. We love to host guests here so that they can experience all that the area has to offer!

Why they chose this property

Location, Location, Location. Keith has been looking for property in this area for many years and was fortunate enough to find this property in the fall of 2022 for sale. This property is centrally located to many of the area's best outdoor attractions and destinations. This property has seen many transformations over the years. Where the metal building sits was once a gas station and convenience store and then it was a produce stand that served food. Now it is transforming into a short term rental destination. We are so excited to see what the future holds for this property.

What makes this property unique

Are you looking for a cozy accommodation situated within a great location? Look no further! Our tiny cabin and campsite, situated on 22 acres, provides many of the comforts of home. Whether you just want to relax or pack your day full of activities, our Creekside campsite will not disappoint!
