About this property

The house is in an area of 5800m^2, surrounded of a flower garden. Next to the house there is a garden with all kind of seasonal groceries and olive trees. The internal of the residence is 340m^2, is organised with all the necessities for hosting many people (aircondition, washing machine, a full organised kitchen, hair dryers, cable tv, wi-fi,), also during the winter, as there is a fireplace and central heating. There is also a small apartement (45m^2) where can stay 2 more guests with privacy. There is also a swimming pool, with proper place for babies and children. At the backyard there is a barbecue for outdoor cooking and eating.
The view of the house is fantastic, with the coast of Tersanas and the mountain of Stavros.

Brilliant location

The Villa is as it looks in the photographs! It's a very spacious, well equipped and private location, has a gorgeous little beach 5 minutes walk away through an olive grove and it is a very comfortable place to stay; people visit to clean the pool and house regularly and you don't have to buy loo rolls or washing up liquid! The owner is very relaxed and there if you need help. There's an abundance of fresh fruit in the gardens which you can help yourself to. Chania is very close, as is the airport. There's a fantastic view across the swimming pool at the front of the property to the sea which you can enjoy every day. A great holiday location for adults and children, we had a fantastic time. There are one or two things worth knowing that shouldn't put you off. There's no visitors book so you must ask questions of the owner and do some local research on where to shop, eat and visit. There's an unfinished building site behind the property - not a huge problem, especially as there's no inhabitants so there's total privacy. You definitely need a car. There's a NATO base nearby - great if you love the sight and sound of fighter planes!

Wonderful hosts, a beautiful place

Our group of 7 guests stayed at Villa Ellie for just shy of one week and had a wonderful experience. The villa is a perfect combination of comfortable, sizeable, and picturesque with all of the benefits that come with modern living. The villa's charmed character extends from the interior layout to the surrounding grounds consisting of beautiful flowers and fruit trees. The villa is somewhat remote- about a half an hour drive from the main city of Chania - but only 15 minutes from an airport and even closer to a few local beaches. We rented a car to access more of the island, which probably isn’t necessary if you want to kick back, stay in the area and take advantage of the villa’s relaxing surroundings. Having any meal at the nearby Irene restaurant is highly recommended! Our more than gracious host went out of her way to make sure we were not only comfortable in the rental but also familiar with the area’s great restaurants and attractions.
