2 day stay in Mt. Airy
The host is incredibly kind; however, we encountered several issues during our stay. Due to the type of air conditioners in use, the windows had to remain open, making the space extremely cold. Some thermostats were non-functional. There are a few heaters but to combat the cold, we had to purchase a blanket for the back room on the 1st floor, where an AC unit was installed in the window. Unfortunately, some of the bedding had stains, leading some of my guests to choose not to stay. One of the beds was also unclean and extremely worn.
Although the original listing stated that the property sleeps 12, the pull-out couches were not usable. The front door lock was a bit tricky to operate, causing initial difficulties in entering the property. There's a ditch or whole right in front of the entrance covered by a wood plank you need to be mindful of, esp with children. Also, there were missing panels under the 1st-floor shower.
The listing's photos were appealing, but in person needed looked slightly different. I have photos of areas of concern.
