Friends weekend in Waco
I stayed here for 2 nights for a quick friends trip down to Waco. Overall the house was beautiful and very comfortable. It’s in a great location for all things in downtown Waco and even a few food places within walking distance. The AC worked great for hot July weather. We would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Waco. We had a few very minor hiccups that we wanted to note: The gate is very temperamental, sometimes it didn’t like the code, and the sensor for coming in isn’t SUV friendly. We had to basically park halfway in the street and walk over to the keypad to be far enough away for it to activate and open. And if you park by the back stairs to go in through the laundry room, the gate would also stay open if it thought the car was too close. Overall we were able to manage it and everything was fine, but just not as easy as we expected. I would suggest more detailed instructions be sent with the check in information along with troubleshooting tips. Second issue was that when we went to bed the first night, there were no top sheets on the beds, just the blankets. We eventually found sheets in one of the closets and were able to put them on ourselves but it seemed odd. Might have been an error by housekeeping but we couldn’t be sure. Final thing wasn’t an issue just a note- there are no regular drinking glasses/cups. There are mugs, stemmed wine glasses and stemless wine glasses. Otherwise the kitchen was very well stocked and had everything we needed.
