Elk River Cabin is a relaxing and refreshing 3BR/2.5BA condo on the Big Thompson River. This mountain retreat offers mesmerizing views of Longs Peak and the Continental Divide from the banks of the Big Thompson. Aspen groves and Spruce trees surround this truly perfect riverfront escape.


Located on Hwy 66, this condo is just a few minutes from the south entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park, and walking distance to the Rock Inn, a favorite local eatery.

The first floor features the open-concept living, kitchen and dining areas. The oversized rustic table in the dining area comfortably seats six. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything necessary for a home-cooked meal. Floor-to-ceiling windows in the living area let in plenty of natural light while showcasing the view of the river and the foothills of the Rockies.

Just past the living area is a door leading out to the deck, with views of the Big Thompson River and the Rocky Mountain foothills.

To the right of the living area is the main floor bedroom, with a king bed, beautiful views, a walk-in closet and an ensuite bathroom with shower. At the top of the stairs is the lounge area and the second full bath with tub/shower combo. Flanking the lounge on either side are two bedrooms, each with a queen bed.

Management provides a starter kit of amenities (an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 2-3 laundry powder packs, 4-5 dishwashing pods, and liquid dishwashing soap). Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit.


Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups. Mid-stay clean includes linens change, light cleaning of floors and counter tops, and bathrooms. These are charged to the guest, and charges can only be added after your reservation is made. Management will call the guest directly for payment for the following required services.



The guest will be contacted for payment as follows:
$160 (one mid-stay cleaning for stays of 14-30 days, OR a Safety Check at no charge to the guest)
$160 (mid-stay cleaning for 30+ days required every 14 days each at $160, OR no-cost Safety Check)
$35 (trash pickup fee for additional requests for pick ups beyond the included pick ups at departure, and every two weeks)




What to be aware of:

- No A/C 
- Minimum age 25 yrs old to rent this home. 
- No Parties. No Smoking. No Pets. Fines apply.
- Quiet Time 9 p.m.
- Parking for 2 cars in the garage and 2 cars in the driveway.
- No large vehicles, i.e. RVs, trailers.
- Estes Park is a DARK SKY community - Please bring a flashlight 
- Guest buys own soaps/paper items when provided starter kit items are depleted.
- BEARS in the area - secure trash, lock doors and windows when leaving.
- Local On-Call Staff available after hours for emergency issues only, i.e. gas leak, broken furnace, broken water line.
- Plowing/shoveling occurs when we have 4 inches of fresh snow on the ground prior to your arrival.
