About this property

Cozy jungle boat hideaway with stunning ocean view

The Jungle Queen is a perfect getaway for 2 or a rejuvenating hideaway for the independent traveler. You’re staying on a landlocked boat in the middle of a jungle with coqui frogs singing you to sleep each night. Relax on the deck and treat yourself to ocean views just 2 miles away. Most evenings, the sunset illuminates the ocean horizon. You may see & hear life in the jungle surrounding you—geckos, parrots, pheasants, goats, and colorful local chickens.

The space
All aboard! Your private boat with its own bedroom nook, shower, and toilet opens into a small living room featuring a mini-fridge, microwave, and hot plate.

Head back out to the deck, which has a dining area for two and a gorgeous view of Kealakekua Bay just two miles away. A large shared outdoor kitchen and barbecue are not far away if you prefer to cook or eat there instead. A dedicated Wi-Fi router provides high-speed internet access, providing all you need for a unique and relaxing stay.

The boat is set in a unique jungle environment. Lots of life surrounds you—a symphony of coqui frogs, parrots, pheasants, goats, wild pigs, geckos, and colorful local roosters! You may hear or see any of them at any time, adding to the place's adventure and natural charm.

This space is a perfect home base for exploring the island. It also makes for a lovely private retreat for writing, making art, working, or relaxing island style. Please note this is most comfortable for an individual or couple.

Yoga mats are available free of charge, as are beach towels. We also have snorkel gear available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please inquire if you're interested.

Guest access
This unique jungle property is on a quiet lane from the main road. Views of the ocean from various parts of the property add to its charm. One boat parking space is available directly in front. Other units are on the property, and the driveway and parking spaces are shared with other tenants and guests.
