Nice stay but inaccurate listing at time of review

Property was nice and clean, close to the water and overall was a nice stay. The listing wasn't accurate in that there is a smart tv, but at the time of stay there was no service to it. You have to use your own hotspot in order to use it. There is no pier in the water; it is in the back yard and there is a ton of overgrowth that leads to the water so you can't access the lake there. I was told one thing at first and another after messaging the owner. There is 1 Kayak, 2 blow up paddle boards and 3 tubes. There was a horrible sulfur smell when my husband took a shower the first night, which burned his eyes and kept us for using it again for the weekend. The games are incomplete and unable to be played. Suggestions of things to take with you if you rent it: a small grill if you want to grill out or large grate for fire pit, your own internet & hotspot for the TV, coffee mugs as the only ones there were actually like a bowl, but if you like large "cups" of coffee then they work just fine, and be prepared to take any trash with you as there is no trash service therefore no trash bins to put it in outside. Overall, this is a nice place, some issues need addressed, but we made the best of the situations and had a good time. Please also note that I did address these issues with the owner before leaving a review, and I'm assured that she will address the issues for future renters. Owner was very prompt when I messaged her and very polite. Thank you!!

I am a current student taking classes at Kalamazoo Valley Community college for Occupational Technical Studies specializing in business and trades. Some of my trade classes include automotive, plumbing, electrical, construction, and welding.

I always considered being an architect because I found a love for homes and buildings and the framework of how they are made, I found it extraordinary! At the same time I’m in the process of starting my own golf cart company, Wolverine Carts.

Growing up I dreamed of being a musician and all I focused on was playing music for the world. As I got older I realized what I wanted more than anything was a family and be a mom and I wasn’t willing to give that up to travel on the road for months on end. I wanted to be home!

Because of that decision I saw myself as a business woman. Growing up my family history the men were all entrepreneurs. They all had their own business and the woman worked or was a stay at home mom. As much as I dream to be a mom one day I can also dream of having my own company especially since I was working at a company that belittles their employees to make them feel superior. I made it my mission I would have my own company and my team would never feel or be treated the way I did at this large corporation. I want them to know that you can enjoy your job and what many workers have to put up with is not normal!

I may be a dreamer but ideas can be turned into realities if you believe in them hard enough.

Why they chose this property

I purchased my first piece of property which would be the house on Ridinger Lake because I wanted to move to Indiana since my family was down here. Little did I know when I drove down to the open house that when I turned on the road I knew exactly where I was. I grew up on this lake! For most of my childhood my parents had a lot at Jellystone Park right across the lake and for years I would drive the golf carts down on these roads little to my knowledge the whole time I was passing my future house! I bought the property, moved my stuff in, and I finally had my home.

What makes this property unique

What makes this house different from everything else is all the amenities. This house has a little bit of everything.

Where this property is located it’s on the prime fishing spot of the lake and many ways to get out on it. From kayaks to paddle boards to canoes, fishing boat, and tubes, there is many opportunities. Not only do you walk into the living room and have a stunning view of the lake right in the backyard but it’s only a few steps away from the local beach where you can park your lawn chair or have the kiddos play in the water. Even the dogs can get in on this fun by jumping off the pier into the beautiful blue. Sunsets and sunrises make this bungalow even more stunning with the breathtaking view of the sun shinning over the water.

On the inside there is also many features including electronics to kitchen ware. There are speakers for music and a tv for night or daytime enjoyment. If you’re a baker or a frequent resident of the kitchen then you’re in heaven. From crockpots to cookie sheets there is everything you’ll need to prepare a quick meal to a feast for your family.

Don’t forget to enjoy the fire ring at night with some s’mores or hot dogs. Even if you’re sitting at the picnic table drinking shakes or smoothies from the convenient Ninja blender, you can still kick back and relax by the water.
