About this property
Creek Cabin - A secluded, creekside paradise at Stag Leap Cabins!
Relax among nature at this unique and tranquil getaway. The Creek Cabin is a private, secluded cabin that sits on the edge of the high bank of a spring-fed creek. A screened-in porch allows you to sit outside and enjoy the rippling sounds of the creek and the multitude of birds and other wildlife in the forest. This cozy cabin is completely isolated beneath a thick canopy of tall hardwoods and East Texas pine trees. Woodland trails throughout the property and along the sandy-bottom creek offer quiet walks for our guests’ delight.
The sunroom is surrounded by numerous windows, bringing the outdoors indoors so you can fully enjoy wildlife in the cabin's comfort. Its oversized window seats double as seating at the dining table and extra bedding suitable for younger guests.
The open-concept bedroom/sitting area has a comfortable king-size bed, a cozy loveseat, and an electric fireplace for a romantic ambience. A small dresser and armoire provide storage space for extended stays.
The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, full-sized refrigerator/freezer, and a convection oven/toaster in the armoire below the smart TV. An efficiency-size 4-burner stove/oven combo is located on the screened-in porch.
The cabin has a private bath with a shower (no tub) and is kept comfortable with thermostatically controlled heat and air.
***IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT THIS CABIN & OUR PROPERTY***
The Creek Cabin has a separate entrance from the property's main entrance and is shared by one other cabin.
The hot tub, laundry room, and activity field are shared amenities. These are located past the main house, so you will likely want to drive to them or rent a golf cart to get to them. The hot tub may be reserved for an hour of private use; however, you do not have to reserve it to use it. All other amenities are available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
We have a NO PETS & NO SMOKING/VAPING policy. Smoking is only allowed outside the cabin, away from open doors and windows. Extra fees will be charged if we determine smoking has occurred inside the cabin.

About the host
Hosted by Sabrina Collins

My husband, Kirby, and I grew up in the Lufkin/Nacogdoches area, so this has always been home to us. We love to travel (especially to mountainous areas), but cruising the dirt roads in our Jeep is our favorite pastime. We started the cabin rental business shortly after we were married in 1993, and we love giving our guests a true East Texas experience.
Kirby's parents, Wayne and Mattie, own the property. They live in the main house, which also serves as the office. Mattie will most likely greet you upon arrival as she really enjoys meeting our guests.

Why they chose this property
Growing up in rural East Texas has given us a deep appreciation for natural settings. We love our tall pine and oak trees and the creek that runs through our property. Having a lot of acreage adds to our feeling of safety and privacy and gives us plenty of roaming room.
Being close to Lake Nacogdoches is a real plus, too. We have spent many summers boating on the lake with our children. Stag Leap is an easy drive to both Nacogdoches and Lufkin. Both towns have great downtown areas for shopping and special events, and each offers unique places to visit and explore. We definitely enjoy the small-town feel with many great shopping, dining, and entertainment options.

What makes this property unique
Stag Leap is on a 250+-acre woodland with secluded cabins scattered along the sandy-bottom Bonaldo Creek. We are the perfect getaway for a romantic weekend, family reunions, small group retreats, or extended stays. Our relaxing, cozy, home-like setting doesn’t compare to what you’ll find in a hotel!
We are close to numerous popular activities and attractions. We are ten minutes from historic downtown Nacogdoches with its brick streets, quaint antique shops, and numerous museums and historical landmarks. A short drive from our property is Stephen F. Austin University, home of the Lumberjacks and its state-recognized azalea gardens, the largest in Texas. Nacogdoches is also a prime destination for pickleball and disc golf enthusiasts, and fishermen love that we are just four miles from Lake Nacogdoches, which provides boating, swimming, fishing, and disc golf opportunities. As part of the Texas Parks and Wildlife Pineywood Trail, we also offer excellent opportunities for bird watching and other wildlife without ever leaving our property, so bring your binoculars!
We offer seven uniquely decorated cabins that are private and secluded from each other. Our cabins offer various sleeping accommodations and have fully stocked kitchens, free WiFi, satellite television, charcoal grills, and air conditioning. Most have whirlpool Jacuzzi tubs (inside or outside) and electric log fireplaces for a romantic ambience. All linens (sheets, towels, washcloths, dish towels) are provided.
A large, centrally located hot tub is available for all guests but may be reserved for private use for an hour at a time. We also offer other amenities and activities such as golf cart rentals, disc golf, basketball, horseshoes, and hiking.
