Lakefront - private suite- Private entrance to one bedroom with private bath

Waterfront -One bedroom with full bath attached to owners home. Access to main home is closed off. Homeowners live year round in home and are great host . Room has private outside entrance. Owner provided-Small k cup, ceiling fan, iron, all linen is provided- please bring lake towels though if you have them, table with chairs. Outside patio table for guests , floor fan, kayak, a few floats- recommend to bring personal float, cable, WiFi included. Room includes access to deck, shared boat dock with boat house bar. Guest also have access to shared small beach area, 2 bikes, hot tub, small fire pit- must bring firewood, access to gas and charcoal grill (charcoal not provided-gas is provided). Boat house includes full size refrigerator and small microwave for guest use. Renters may dock personal watercraft/boat at dock. Great neighborhood for a walking or bicycle riding. Fishing is permitted off dock, must have own fishing license. Lots of wildlife to enjoy- eagles-deer-bird watching. Close to Roanoke Rapids and Littleton. The point and Watersview Restaurant are about 15 car ride and 20 min boat ride. Bowling in RR- about 15 away. Room has queen bed and large enough for 2 adults. We are pet friendly- owner has lab and a cat.Have lots of fun in the sun ☀️. Not responsible for any injuries that may occur on property- including hot tub- boating-swimming.
You are only renting a bedroom that is attached to home owners main home- you are not renting the entire home. Home owner is happy to answer any questions 🥰. Guest have parking area- our home also has another driveway that can be used at times for extra parking. Guest park in paved drive way and use side walk way to enter room. Home is on one acre and has room to park a trailer in additional drive way. Guest will enjoy grilling, swimming, boating, bike riding, hot tub and relaxing. Owner does work during week so guests will pretty much all amenities to themselves🥰 the gas grill and charcoal grill allows guest to enjoy every minute while at the lake. Owner provides enough plates and silverware for cooking and dinning. Guest will definitely enjoy this waterfront bedroom and wake up each morning to a beautiful view🥰

Best deal all around

This stay was exactly what I needed. Quiet surroundings and a great view not to mention a great dock perfect for launching my heavy fishing kayak. The hosts were friendly and attentive to any needs I had and even some needs I didn’t know I had. I will be back for sure and recommend anyone reading this review to stay also! 5 stars!

Great quiet weekend

Very clean and pretty property. Really enjoyed the dock/boathouse and floating in the water and wildlife to watch. They offered and/or had available most anything we wanted.

5 stars can’t say enough

I stayed at the property with my 8 year old daughter to enjoy the lake and visit family. The property is beautiful and we loved having access to all the amenities and the dock. More importantly, the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome and special. My daughter loved it and is convinced the hosts are now family and can’t wait to come back without me. Great place and great people!!

Incredible Location with Southern Hospitality!

The Toney Guest House was very nice - much nicer than even the photos show! The one bedroom and bath are fairly large, and are more like a studio apartment than just a bedroom. The hosts also allow for full use of their boathouse on the water, which has a partial kitchen and bar area overlooking their lake cove. There is also outdoor dining on their dock under an umbrella dining table. Their dock also allows for easy access and docking of your boat. There is a swim up ladder on the dock and reclining loungers that allow you to spend the whole day at the dock if desired. There is also a large outdoor dining table with umbrella right outside your bedroom, and a shared sun porch and hot tub. To top it all off, your hosts, Jeanette and Dennis Toney, are the nicest, most generous, helpful people that you will ever meet. They have already anticipated your every need, and provide complimentary snacks, drinks, and morning coffee as well. Their southern hospitality makes all of the difference. You’ll feel right at home here. If you book it, I don’t think you will leave dissatisfied at all. Instead, I am already planning my next trip back!

My husband and I are both from North Carolina. I grew up very close to where we live at now and 🥰 it. We are definitely people persons and love to entertain. This is our second time having a VRBO in our home and have made lots of friends. Our last VRBO rental was also at lake Gaston in our condo. Since then, we sold our condo and are now living the dream here at the lake. We are definitely foodie people and if you are here while we are cooking and enjoy good food we share. We decided to try another rental as there are not hardly rentals just for two people that are cost friendly. Our rental is super sweet and easy to get to and close to everything. Although we live on the property we do still work so much of the time our renters will be able to enjoy the amenities all to themselves 🥰. At times we do allow and share the entire home, our boat , ping pong table and golf cart. We had renters in the past that enjoy them. We also do not charge a cleaning fee to keep the price down. From time to time we have had renters that may bring their children and we are open to that Howver the room is small similar to a hotel room. Renter must ask first as we only rent room to adults. If you are on a get away and want to enjoy alone time there is lots of areas on property for that as well. Guest will enjoy a pretty much private beach- side poarch with grill. The home owners usually if boating go starlight to dock and load up so the guest will enjoy entire dock if they like. We love cooking, boating and our home.
