About this property

Waterfront Acre Estate with Hot Tub and Mountain Views

Note that our hot tub pump is having issues. It’s scheduled for repair. Meanwhile, for it to heat, the pump must be monitored because it turns off after a couple hours. You can turn the pump button on high when you’ve noticed it’s off, and the heater will turn back on (heater only works when the pump is running). We apologize for the inconvenience while we wait for the technician, however we are keeping the hot tub clean and available for those willing to turn the pump on high once in a while.

You will bask in the serenity of the wild side of Camano Island in this waterfront estate with stairs to a private beach and tidelands. Sweeping views from a chateau and a cabin, 2 houses that sleep up to 15 fill you with awe. Nestled in a quiet corner of the Island, no ferry is needed because you just drive on over!

Southwest views make for long hours of sun exposure, and since you will be in the Puget Sound Rain Shadow, you will be able to enjoy more sunsets than the mainland!

Your private hot tub is under a covered patio which is great because you can enjoy in any weather! You will enjoy the views from the house, a campfire on the bluff, or a stroll along the shore. While inside these warm homes your own live nature show will unfold outside the huge wall of windows! Two bald eagles and a golden eagle who call the big tree home will swoop down to the water and catch fish right in front of you! Grey whales swim by regularly with the backdrop being Whidbey and Baby Islands, and the Olympic Mountains! Not to mention you'll be treated to mesmerizing sunsets!
Note: we don’t guarantee that you will see wildlife. If you want to see any, just like most anywhere else animals are trying not to be seen and you have to watch the treetops and water long enough to spot something. Mornings and tidal changes are most active. Marine life is mostly submerged so you have to look for the above-water part o the animal. Many guests report seeing wildlife, and I’ve seen a lot of wildlife so it is there.
At night you are on the dark side of Camano Island with no light pollution-- you will look up to see big, shiny stars in an inky black sky! You will love the massive fire pit on the forested side of the property, where you can have a salmon grill or a relaxing time with friends and family while looking up at the night sky through a circle of tall Douglas firs!

You can witness all kinds of wildlife, such as whales, orcas, eagles, herons, seals and even octopus! If you see flocks of birds in the water, that usually means there's a whale under the surface. Watch from the windows or the shore!

Are you a seafarer? Bring your kayak and launch from shore, or anchor your boat just off the bulkhead. Do you love to fish? Offshore you will find some of the best crabbing, fishing, and shrimping in Puget Sound!

When nighttime comes, the absolute quiet will lull you to sleep. The moon sets in the west, reflecting on the water and illuminating the Chateau and your soul!

Despite its remote feel, you can easily go out for dining and shopping. Enjoy wonderful attractions within a few miles of your doorstep, including Camano Island State Park, Cama Beach Historical State Park, Iverson Trail Preserve, Canopy Tours NW, Iverson Beach, and wildlife watching from the shore or out the window! Local artists are featured in the home and art galleries dot the neighborhood.

Snuggle up to one of the woodstoves in the chateau or the cabin, or make a campfire in one of the fire pits as you watch the moon's reflection on the water.

In the chateau you will find a big, modern kitchen with filtered water, ice maker, microwave, a stocked coffee/tea station, spices and double oven that will make your cooking a pleasure. The chateau also offers a large dining room with seating for everyone.

During high tide the water comes right up to the bulkhead and you can watch the sea animals in the shoal along the shore. Refer to the Puget Sound tide charts to find out when the medium and low tides are, which open up the beach twice a day for you to walk miles in either direction!
Note that check in and check out times apply to the entire property and beachfront, and not just the interior of the Estate. Minimum 24-hour advance approval for early check in or late check out must be obtained from the host.
Without advance approval, staff is required to prohibit access to the property and beach. Late check out without approval will result in a late check out fee of $300 or actual last-minute staffing costs for unexpected emergency staffing in a shortened cleaning window. We can often accommodate your requests with an additional fee that allows us to schedule additional staff for a condensed cleaning schedule. Please inquire 24 hours in advance as we would love to accommodate your requests if at all possible.
