About this property

Hillside home minutes to Center Sandwich and Moultonboro. Single floor living.

Gaze out the front window looking down over the three acre lawn as the sun rises over the Ossipee Range. The property is on State Route 109 for easy in and out and the house is 100 yards back from the road for great privacy and quiet. Everything, bedrooms, bath, laundry is on the first floor. If you need a little less quiet, historic Center Sandwich or the Moultonboro restaurants are five minutes away. A few minutes more and all the attractions of the lakes region are close by. The woods out back have ready made hiking trails. Even scavenge your wood for the fire pit.

Family Getaway
Our family and friends have vacationed in the Sandwich area for more than 20 years. This was one of the nicest places we've stayed! It was very clean and comfortable and we can't wait for a chance to go back! The check in process was seamless and the location was private while being central to all of our favorite activities. We had some time to relax outside and enjoy the peacefulness. Our 5-year-old granddaughter was thrilled to be able to run and play and so excited when she saw some deer. Would definitely stay here again. Our only regret is that we could only stay 3 nights due to our schedules. Highly recommend!

Hi. I live in Sandwich, four miles away. This property was bought as an investment 15 years ago. I spent a year of weekends fixing it up. It has been a long term rental in the past, this is the first time trying a short term rental. Eventually it will be my home but for now, let's see how this goes. I have been a landlord long enough (42 years) to know if my tenants are happy, everything goes smoother. Something is lacking (within reason) let me know and I will make it right.

Why they chose this property

Up on a hill looking down across a mowed field onto NH rt 109 and across to the Ossipee range. The back yard is level with woods behind for wandering. Often deer or turkey in the morning. I have charcoal grill and a cornhole set arrived today. A firepit with an endless amount of firewood in the woods for your gathering. It is peaceful. When I bought the property I would tell people I didn't buy a house, I bought a great piece of land in a super location that happened to have house on it.

What makes this property unique

The setting. Every where you look you see nature. A view of the mountains one way, the woods out back, watching a vehicle go by on rt 109 but for some reason the noise is minimal. There are neighbors, few single family homes, but they are a distance away. You don't notice them with the leaves on the trees. Only a few minutes to Center Sandwich or Moultonboro village. All on paved road, not out in some boondocks. As I typed before, when I sell my house someday, this will be my final home.
