About this property

Rare Teton Ranch: 400 protected acres, private creek, fishing, kayaking, birding

Our family has been lucky enough to experience this beautiful place for the last 20 years. It’s more than a home - it’s a working ranch, a space to walk among wildlife, an endless view of mountains and direct access to a lively spring creek.

Note: Additional bunkhouse that sleeps six available upon request for an additional $500/night.

ON-PROPERTY ACTIVITIES: With 400 private acres and Fox Creek feet from the house, there’s immediate access to 2.5+ miles of private fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, bird watching, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and more. Guests are welcome to use the house’s standup paddle boards and kayaks to float the river anytime. There's ample lawn space in front and back for games and bbqs. Hunting is also available during hunting season.

WILDLIFE: Most of the land is under conservation easement and hosts a diversity of wildlife that live on habitat we restored for fish, birds, and mammals. The restoration project included 2 miles of Fox Creek and the creation of three ponds across the property. As a result, native Yellowstone cutthroat, brook, and cut-bow hybrid trout again spawn in the creek, endangered bird species (including trumpeter swans) have been released on our ponds, and sandhill cranes perform mating dances in our fields. Guests can birdwatch from the house or on a walk around the property to see species like cranes, eagles, osprey, hawks, owls, ducks, geese, kingfishers, bobolinks, red-winged blackbirds, curlew and many more. Don't forget to check out the osprey nest and blue heron rookery! Moose, deer, foxes, coyotes, otters, and other mammals are also often seen right from the house.

THE HOME: The living spaces include a large, remodeled house and additional beds and bathrooms in a living suite above the garage. The main house’s kitchen opens to a large family room great for groups, seating 8 at the counter and 16 at the dining room table alongside a large couch, TV, and Steinway piano. From the front porch, you can see the Tetons, and from the back porch views of the creek and Big Hole mountains. An additional creek-front deck has a fireplace and plenty of seating. All bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms.

ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Though not another house is in sight, the ranch is located minutes from the world-class Jackson Hole and Grand Targhee resorts, the Teton and Big Hole mountain ranges, endless biking, hiking, skiing, fishing, hot springs, and whitewater rapids. Driggs and Victor are quaint towns with great food, grocery stores, ski shops, liquor stores, and emporiums.
