The view of this property is gorgeous but please be prepared for the drive to get to the place! The road is extremely steep and windy, you’re going up a big mountain with no guardrails and small roads with very sharp turns. All wheel drive is HIGHLY recommended! The listing & reviews did not actually prepare us for how steep that drive is. The place itself was well kept and very nice. It worked great for our large group. Kitchen had everything for us to cook dinners for the most part. The place had tons of space for everyone. We really enjoyed the pool table but you can tell the pool sticks are very used and old. We had an issue with the hot tub not heating, we called maintenance and they responded very quick which was great! I even had to call them back later in the night just expecting to leave a voicemail and someone still answered and helped us. The heating coil was out and they ended up having to repair it the next morning. But after the repair it was up and working very quickly. We had some small issues with the bathroom doors not closing or staying locked on some of the floors so please be aware of that. Also, one of the guests staying with us forgot to lock her car and a bear did get into her vehicle. The company was great about posting reminders to lock cars and doors, it was definitely our mistake but still wanted to tell you that bears are present lol. Overall very gorgeous place, quick communication with the company, and glad we got to stay here!

Liked: Check-in, communication
Disliked: Location, listing accuracy
Won't go back to Gatlinburg at Christmas time.
The curvy, narrow, steep roads were hard to navigate. Location was very inconvenient and once yoy made it there you certainly didn't want to leave only to fight the trecherous road back. Had it snowed or the temperatures been under freezing we would never have made it to the house.
This chalet was great. The bears made it an even better experience. We do have one suggestion. The big gate was great but the bears still climbed the side of the deck and walked the handrail and came on the deck. The first time was Saturday afternoon and a few guys stayed back at the chalet and were sitting on the deck, they banged on the windows to scare the bears and they could get back in. Maybe add an extension on the gate so they can’t walk the handrail. We’re talking about making it a yearly trip. There was a couple of bear families that came around, we loved it!
Most bathrooms lock were broken. Hot tub was not working, first repair was fixing leak, second repair was hitting coil and time for check out arrived.
Good part : excellent view, Saw bears from cabin, easily reachable, interior was very well done.
Breathtaking views with lots of company from the bears!
The house was perfect for our large family ranging in ages from 1 year to 61 with an amazing view, however with five children in the house we were uncomfortable with the regular visits from many black bears, including two mothers and five cubs. The bears were clearly comfortable climbing the wooden deck supports and over the railings at all times of the day and night to check out what we had cooked on the grill that night, or just looking for food. If you stay at this house, please lock your car doors since they can and will open them and get in looking for food! The house was beautifully decorated, but if you like to cook bring sharp knives and pot holders since there were none. All in all, we had a great time we just had to be cautious.
House had the best view ever! Downtown Gatlinburg and beautiful mountains for miles! The house is large and so many bathrooms! We had 13 people and everyone had their own space! If you have small children bring baby gates! There are 3 sets of stairs! We used a chair to block as our little one was only 2 and not interested in the stairs! But if you have an adventurous one you will want gates! Other than that it was great! So many bears!!!
Great view, love the bears, cabin needed more water pressure, over, all we had a wonderful time.
