About this property

Briarcreek Farm and Estate nestled on 200 acres

Are you tired of the concrete jungle? Want a break from noisy cities? The Estate at Briarcreek will deliver that and much more as soon as you enter the secured gate. Relax and recharge under the stars while listening to the symphony of tree frogs and nature surrounding you.

Escape to eastern NC and recharge your batteries. Life at the Estate is an all-encompassing experience of what might have been decades ago, with a sprinkling of modern conveniences for those who cannot completely cut those ties. Relax in a hammock or choose a comfy chair on the porch. Go for a walk through the miles of nature trails or enjoy the serenity of a quiet afternoon picnic by the twin ponds. Enjoy the warmth of a pondside firepit with smores, loved ones, and a peaceful night. To take relaxation to the next level, book an appointment with an on-site personal masseuse or have a professional chef spoil you with your favorite delicacies.

You will enjoy nature throughout the estate and if you are quiet enough, you may see some of our many whitetail deer, turkeys, raccoons, groundhogs, opossums, turtles, and more. We have many feathered friends that are routinely seen including Canadian geese, colorful mallards, ring necks, and wood ducks. You will want to be alert for a few slithering creatures. It is rare that we ever see one. Our naturalist tells us they are more afraid of us than we are of them but you will want to keep a keen eye out if you venture deep into the woods.

Fishing in the twin ponds or the Sycamore Swamp will provide a lifetime of fun memories and tasty food for your evening meal. The ponds have been stocked with bream, largemouth bass, and catfish and fed for years. The Sycamore Swamp will tempt any angler looking for the catch of a lifetime. It has been rarely fished allowing the ones in there to get bigger and bigger.

We have basic fishing gear on site. You can purchase bait if you desire a few miles away. Serious sportsmen, you may want to bring your tackle and gear since there are many lunkers for which you will need stronger equipment to land.

Myrtle Beach, its tourist attractions, and its 100+ golf courses and restaurants are a scenic 75-minute drive if you want a change of pace. Historic downtown Wilmington is an hour away. Or surf and enjoy the beautiful beaches at Wrightsville and Carolina Beach, just an hour's drive from the Estate.

Groceries, gas, and even a Wal-Mart are 15 miles away in Whiteville, along with many national chains and local restaurants. A Dollar General store is a few minutes down the road for last-minute necessities. You can order online and pick it up when you arrive in Whiteville to maximize your time at Briarcreek.

The Estate at Briarcreek is a unique combination of an escape from the hectic pace of everyday life while still being close enough to conveniences so you are not completely isolated.

There are two separate residences at the Estate. One is the main house built in 2005 beside the twin ponds, where everyone will stay. The second residence has a game room, a full kitchen, and sleeping quarters for additional guests.

This is a great location for couples. If you wish to come for a romantic getaway with your significant other, we will discount the nightly fee by 50% from $450 to $225. Don't forget to book a personal masseuse or private chef to make your romantic trip even more meaningful. Contact our host.

If you enjoy riding four-wheelers, you are welcome to bring yours to the Estate and enjoy our many miles of trails running through the vast woods that surround the estate.

Please message our host If you have questions about your stay's total fees.

Peace of Mind
In one word Amazing, my family and I had an wonderful time. The host was amazing, with a very prompt response time. We were greeted with snacks and drinks welcome basket to enjoy, along with games, balls, jump ropes just to name a few,,,the home was stunning, my family and guest were in awe of the space inside and out, from relaxing on the porch to fishing in the pond, there was something fun for everyone, and if inside is your thing we had a game room with pool/tennis table and air hockey for hours of fun...give your family a treat to Briarcreek Farm and Estate...you can thank me later...

Having worked as a professional my entire career, I fell in love with Briarcreek Farm the first time I saw it. The beauty of all the nature surrounding the Estate is calming and an amazing escape from everyday life.

Why they chose this property

As soon as the security gate is locked behind you, you can feel your blood pressure decline. You will enjoy the half-mile drive back to the Estate as you meander through the woods. Roll down your window as you pass the Sycamore Swamp on your right. Smell the fresh, clear, crisp air and listen to the nature that surrounds the Swamp.

What makes this property unique

Your time at Briarcreek will be like nothing else. It is such a unique location with an abundance of activities that will complement the serenity of the 200 acres you will enjoy. I look forward to helping you make the most of your time during your stay. I started my career working with Marriot and Holiday Inn hotels where I learned the pleasure of helping others relax and enjoy their time away from home.
