Looking to get away from the crowds? This is no ordinary vacation rental - ours is a 50 ACRE RANCH with tons of activities and amenities - the perfect place to get away from all the stress of day-to-day life.

Enjoy magnificent views from the deck of our hilltop home at the base of the Pine Valley Mountains. Fish in our PRIVATE FISHING POND stocked with trout and bass. Dark skies make wonderful stargazing from the comfort of the hot tub. ATV trail ride right from the ranch into the Bumblebee Mountains with hundreds of miles of roads and trails through juniper, pine and aspen forests. Our barn boasts more than just livestock. Although there are plenty of animals, it has a pool table, foosball, ping pong, air hockey, pool table, and other games. The kids love the animals; fallow deer, sheep, goats, horses, cows, chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits and more.

Finally, enjoy a game of horseshoes or Frisbee golf in the pasture or enjoy the shade of the cottonwoods at the picnic area or playground by the stream.

The home itself is a semi-rustic, cowboy themed getaway with three bedrooms, three baths, and hide-a-beds that can sleep 15 with floor space for more. Dining sits 16 between the dining room table and bars. RV’s are welcome at an additional fee. 2 wheel drive vehicle accessible.

Southern Utah is world famous for its desert landscapes and outdoor activities including hiking, biking, rock crawling, climbing, hunting, fishing, shopping, and dining. Located only 1 hour and 15 minutes to Mesquite, Nevada for gambling and nightlife.

Keep in mind that this is a semi-rustic working farm, where animals and adventure abound. If you are looking for something unique and a little off the beaten path, this is definitely for you. Also, beware that the nearest store is the gas station 5 minutes from the farm. We are situated in New Harmony, Utah. Nestled between the Pine Valley Wilderness and Bumblebee Mountain about 1/2 way between Cedar City and St. George - 5 miles west of I-15. The weather is mild and comparable to Cedar City, which is only 25 minutes north, and St. George, which is a little further at 40 minutes south.

Harmony Haven is an excellent choice for vacations, family reunions, weddings, company parties, and more. In addition to nightly rentals we offer wedding and event packages. Please call for details.

Fishing at our private stocked pond is free for catch-and-release and only $5 per fish kept (limit 2 per guest) on the Honor System. We supply several fishing rods and some tackle but you are welcome to bring your own.

We do not provide ATV’s or horseback riding.

The Perfect Retreat + Epic Fishing

Words can’t describe how perfect this location was for our group. The close proximity to Zion and surrounding hikes made the location ideal. The property itself was clean and well furnished. The barn and surrounding areas, including the wildlife was fantastic but the views and the fishing were epic! I have never seen a better stocked pond with massive Bonneville Cutthroat and Rainbow trout! I wouldn’t plan to fish it with anything less than 8 pound test. They were hungry and the artificial bait rule plus catch and release was ideal! I highly recommend this property to anyone who enjoys the outdoors.

Stunning, majestic

My mom and I came here for a few days. The sunsets and sunrises are unreal. The house is cozy and spacious. The deck is huge and provided great views. Pictures don’t do it justice. I loved the fishing pond. The trout were a lot of fun. There is a super friendly host that will greet you randomly roaming around and she is a beautiful golden retriever. I honestly want to retire in a place like this. I will definitely be going back.

Fantastic views and host

You cant beat the views, location and house! Animal petting farm and stocked pond. Close to Zion and many other natural beauties. I cant say enough good about this place. Definitely worth staying there. This was the best place we have ever rented. I would give it a 10 star review. The host is very helpful and responds quickly. Tons of wildlife every night in there pasture that the deck overlooks.

A hidden gem!

We had such a wonderful stay at this beautiful property. It was so fun for our family to visit with all the animals. We loved walking the property and playing a little frisbee golf. The barn with all the games made for family friendly competition (air hockey and foosball were our favorites). The sweet dog on the property was an excellent tour guide. An easy drive to Zion and Cedar City. This was a trip my family will remember. Thanks for a one of a kind experience!

Excellent Stay

Incredible property. The kids absolutely loved going down and seeing the animals and finding peacock feathers everywhere. It was a special touch that they left food so they could feed fish in the pond and the animals. Four wheeler trails were a lot of fun And easily accessible. We brought electric bikes and ride those around. The areas absolutely gorgeous in this place was fantastic for a family reunion.

Fantastic property & amazing views! Great for kids!

This property is fantastic, great quiet, relaxing area with plenty to do. The jacuzzi & fire pit were great after hiking in the evenings. The kids absolutely loved fishing in the pond and petting the horses. There's wildlife everywhere you look and the view is phenomenal! I would absolutely recommend this property.

Fantastic Getaway!

This place was AWESOME! First off, the drive was so easy. We have rented other Utah cabins in the past & it was all windy roads & getting lost, very frustrating. This was only 2.5 Hrs. away (from Las Vegas), easy to find, & felt like another world as far as relaxation, scenery, slower pace. The kitchen had everything a cook could want & was open to the living & dining area. The bed & bath rooms were large, very clean, well appointed as well. It definitely has a Hunters Lodge motif going for it with all of the beautifully mounted large game peppered throughout the house. The kids found these fascinating :-) The Deck was huge with shaded parts and you could spend all day just enjoying the beautiful, peaceful view. It really was so cool & relaxing! The fish in pond were very large and almost too easy to catch. It was super fun for our first time fishers (kids), and the grown ups loved it too. There are easily walkable trails that lead to many other splendid things as well. On a final note, I also want to say that the Owners were super sweet & helpful, but non-evasive. Meaning They leave you to yourselves & don't bother you ... NICE!

Great Escape

My family and I had a great time at Jan's place and would highly recommend for anyone looking to spend some quality time in a relaxing, country setting. Property is accurately described and house is setup with all basics, as well as extra bedding, toys/games, high chair, and plenty of seating for all. The gas station by the house is nice, but we had a better time getting food and supplies in town. We super appreciate the opportunity to stay here and will definitely be back.

Wonderful place for family vacation!

If you love nature and the outdoors you will love this place. Beautiful views, lots of animals, fishing, game room and things near by to do. The owners are so nice to keep their price down so people can afford it. We've been here twice. Never thought we would be able to afford a place like this. Thank you Jan & Ken.

Harmony Haven - Re-connecting with family and nature

We had such a wonderful time! Feeding the amazing array of animals, chatting by the fire, soaking in the jacuzzi, and hiking around Kolob Canyon all made for a restful and peaceful way to start the New Year! Jan is an amazing host and the house is cozy, yet spacious. We will be back soon for our third visit!

Secluded getaway

A great time had by all. Awesome property with lots to do if you want a day off of visiting the national parks nearby. Bryce Canyon and Zion are nearby and there is lots of other nearby experiences. But being able to settle in a cozy tucked away location, with beautiful panoramic views was icing on the cake. Already considering a future stay here.

Great place for family gathering

We loved a lot of things about our stay here. Remote and private, but plenty of entertainment options right on site--barn, pool, ping pong, basketball, fishing, xbox, movies, farm animals, etc.. The deck and views are wonderful. The value of the stay is definitely in the property itself, and the lodging is comfortable enough. The kitchen is bigger and the whole cabin is brighter than they look in the photos. It was very comfortable and the hosts were kind and helpful. We really enjoyed our time here. Quick drive to lots of great hiking spots. The only disappointment was that it felt in need of a deep cleaning; It's very likely I was more sensitive to cleanliness because of current pandemic conditions. It's an older property so there was no expectation for bright and shiny surfaces every where. Overall, it was tidy and well-prepared--clean bedrooms bathrooms and most kitchen surfaces--but I wiped down everything as a precaution and the kitchen cupboard shelves, dining chairs, information binder, etc. were quite dirty. Several of the pots and pans were also grimy and the inside of the oven was so dirty that it smoked every time we used it. I was also concerned that check-out procedures only involved removing sheets, so I realized we were probably using bedspreads and throws used by other guests just days before (again, a unique COVID concern). Overall though, it is a wonderful property and a place families and groups can relax, spend time together, and enjoy the surroundings.

Unique experience

We’ve stayed here twice and loved it both times. It’s a unique place with the animals, lots of space to explore, the tree house play area, the fish pond, and the deck and hot tub with one of the best views we’ve ever seen. We didn’t run into the owners much, but they were super nice when we did.

Cozy cabin with a great host

My family stayed here for Christmas and absolutely loved the cozy atmosphere in the cabin. The farm had lots of activities for us to do while we were there and the host was responsive and went out of her way to be helpful. Highly recommended!

Fun with the Grandkids

We have been visiting Jan's place for the past four years. Our Granddaughters loved the stayed. They both are old enough to feed the animals all by themselves. It snowed the day before we were heading home. We have now experienced all four seasons. Love going to Jan's one and sometimes twice a year!

Nice property

The main reason that I did 4 stars was the sleeping was not conducive for 10 people for a board retreat. Sleeping in a closet with bunk beds and one queen where you have to go through the bedroom to get to the closet was odd. Bathroom shared by master bedroom and the closet bunk beds. Not really private. We were Missing hand towels and washcloths, just bath towels and beach towels were all that we could find. Kitchen was missing dish soap to wash dishes before putting them in dishwasher. Other than those few items and sleeping arrangements it was a nicely maintained property, Clean with beautiful views.

Wonderful experience

This is an amazing place to stay. We had a wonderful time the home is beautiful. The location is absolutely spectacular. Gorgeous view. The animals are wonderful to interact with. Our grandchildren had such a grand time. Experience things they have not ever done before. The fishing experience was amazing. The tree houses were so much fun for the kids. It was a peaceful delightful place to stay. The house were absolutely wonderful. It was so nice to be able to bring our dogs. The whole family wants to come back soon.

Great location and view

We really loved the location, view and larger property. It's an extremely special place and piece of land. The wandering peacocks and animals were a highlight. I wish someone could have shown us how to feed them, as we read in other reviews. Saw baby bunnies, deer, wild turkeys - the wildlife was awesome. We were disappointed several of the outside areas were extremely overgrown. We were so excited to use the huge field below the house to play soccer and run around with the dogs. But the grasses were close to waist-high, and it was unusable. The owners had been out of town, and they mowed the field our last afternoon. It will be in perfect shape for the renters after us. Another reason we booked this property was the playground on premises. Unfortunately, the amazing horses used it as a pen, and it was not open for our use. I wish we would have known this before we booked. We reached out to both owners, and didn't receive replies from either (we later found out they were out of the country). By the time they were back in town and we saw them, we didn't ask, because the entire playground was covered in horse manure. This was a big reason we booked, as we were really looking to stay close to the house and relax. The area by the pond was lovely, and we enjoyed feeding the lone duck when he stuck around. The area by the creek was fun - be careful, wasp's nest in one of the treehouses. Grass was pretty long, but again, it was cut right before we were leaving. The house itself was older, we knew this from the photos. It was big, with lots of areas for privacy if you have multiple parties. View outside is magical. We loved being outside, but several of the chairs felt unsafe (moved too far back, etc), and the cushions were completely ripped on one side of many. Dishwasher leaked, so we had to have towels on the floor every day. Several blinds could not be raised, which blocked the view (and one in the master didn't have blinds - hello morning!) The beds were comfortable, lots of hot water and good pressure. Lots of flyswatters for the inevitable flies around a farm. Good wi-fi, after we rebooted the first day. AC worked fabulously and fans in bedrooms (so appreciated). Proximity to Kolob and Zion was great. Cedar City is about 20 minutes for convenience. A special place - but 2 of the areas we thought we'd be able to enjoy (the open field and the playground) were unusable, so that was a bit disappointing despite a lovely week.

We love the outdoors and the beauty and many activities of Southern Utah's diverse desert to mountain landscapes. Harmony Haven is our life’s dream and we love our little ranch and reside here year round. We care for the animals and maintain the property all the while enjoying all of the activities available to our guests. The idea to first share our ranch came when a local organization arranged for a young man with leukemia to fulfill his lifelong dream of wild turkey hunting which we arranged for him and his family; then came a couple of wedding ceremonies and family reunions with the Kolob Fingers in the background and soon it evolved in to a full time vacation/event property. Our children are all grown, though they and our grandchildren are here as often as possible, so the two of us were able to move quite comfortably into the small bunk house where we enjoy our ranch from a somewhat less elevated vantage. We appreciate your consideration of our rental and are sure that you will enjoy your stay as so many guests before you. -Jan and Kendall

Why they chose this property

Although we enjoy the occassional vacation to big cities, we are small town people who love Utah's outdoors. We decided to purchase this property because it is centrally located between two cities, albeit relatively small cities, that have everything we could want from dining, movies, golf, shopping and more. As far as we are concerned though, we have the rare privilege of coming home to peaceful mountain views with wildlife and farm animals in our pastures and ATV's and fishing from our front door.

What makes this property unique

There is a private fishing pond on the property stocked with bass and trout. Catch-and-release fishing is free and does not require a license, however, you may choose to keep fish at $5 per fish (limit 2 per guest). You can ride ATV's right from the ranch a couple of miles and into the mountains. We are surrounded by some of the most scenic State and National Parks in the country and have the advantage of being close to St. George with all of the activities it has to offer without the summer heat.
