We are a skiing family. All 3 boys learned early and often. Skiing is still some of the best time we have together as a family today. We are also a big outdoor family, we enjoy hiking, and biking, and some of us enjoy fishing. We come from San Francisco, but our hearts are usually in BC!
Why they chose this property
We came on holiday and fell in love with Red Mountain, Rossland, and the surrounding communities. Andrew grew up near Lake Placid, NY and it felt like home. (That was BEFORE we learned that the movie Miracle was filmed in Rossland!) All but the youngest in the family has worked as in lift ops, or as a ski patroller, or a bartender, or a bike tech. We understand the vibe of a mountain town, both as locals and as tourists. We enjoy it all - from the rink to the local brewery to the good Asian & Mediterranean places to eat we have found between the towns of Rossland, Trail & Nelson.
What makes this property unique
If there is one word to describe our place at Red Mountain - it would be "convenient." Everything is easy. It's just a few steps from car to the room with hotel luggage cart provided. And then it is just a few steps from the room to the lifts. The unit is spacious and well-stocked, 3 baths, all one floor - makes it easy or the entire group, big or small. It is close to everything, yet at the same time is a not really next to many other units. It is closer to the gym and the game room, which are also convenient. It feels quite private, especially via the ground level access to the back patio which faces away from the lifts. Yet at the same time, you truly are in the center of the resort.
