Here is your opportunity to stay in a historical Lewiston property. Originally built in the 1950's by then home owner Lowell "ED" Collins. At that time, Collins owned the "Ed. Collins' Resort" (formerly named Ewing's Resort) which he purchased after WWII. The resort was located directly across the street from the current cabin. You can still see the bath house from the resort still standing. Eventually the resort was sold and this cabin is all that remains.
The Cabin offers 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, living area, full kitchen, enclosed front porch, and separate hang out area called the "garage".
The property has a spacious yard for kids and pets to play and a fire pit for adults to relax around. There is firewood available for guest use. A grill is also available for guest use. See House Rules as they apply.
Kayaks, paddle boards (stand-up) and a canoe are available to guests to rent. If you choose to rent the watercraft equipment, you MUST sign a Waiver and Release of Liability form prior to use. Please provide an email address so we can forward that to you. All those participating in watercraft activities who are 21 and over must sign the Waiver and Release of Liability form. All those participating under the age of 21 must be listed on the Waiver and Release of Liability form. Once the waiver is signed, returned, and payment is remitted (determined on your length of stay), you will receive the code to the lock box to release the watercraft equipment located in the back area of the property. The rental fee is $50.00 per day for the duration of your stay or $200 a week for guests staying 1 week or more. .
Lifejackets and paddles can be found hanging in the "garage". Various sizes have been provided.
Please return lifejackets as found so that they may properly dry.
Please return watercraft to the rack and lock. .
*Michigan state law requires life jackets for users of kayaks, paddle boards, and canoes.
