Unfortunately, my stay was far from what I expected. I never received any communication from the host, despite multiple text messages and phone calls attempting to reach them. When I arrived, I thought my phone number would be the access code, but it didn’t work. I had to make last-minute plans to find somewhere else to stay, which was incredibly frustrating. I would not recommend this place due to the lack of responsiveness and communication.

My girlfriend & I were on a long road trip and stayed one night here. The property looked exactly like the photos in the listing, nice use of space & located in a historic neighborhood. We had a pleasant lunch by the lake.
Host provided helpful check-in details. Overall the stay was what we expected, however cleanliness could be an area of improvement (hair & old soap bar in the shower, dust on headboard) - not a huge deal but heads up if that’s something that bothers you.
Close to Downtown Erie & Not Far From Presque Isle
We enjoyed our stay overall at this Erie apartment. The location was a good midpoint between downtown and Presque Isle. We were there in the fall when it was colder and rainy, so being closer to downtown was nice. To stay here you must be able to handle somewhat steep steps. The mattress was nice. Apartment temperature was a bit difficult to control. The kitchen was OK, moderately equipped, but fine for a weekend when your plans are to eat out most of the time. We enjoyed having the entire driveway to ourselves. The host was quick to reply to our messages. We would stay here again.
The property was easy to locate and had a long driveway to park in. The outside of the property was messy with plants and looked like it needed a renovation. The inside of the apartment was clearly recently redone. There was no issue checking in and the kitchen was stocked with general cooking supplies (pans, pots, spices, oil). Towels were also supplied. Also, the TVs were ONN smart TVs, so you can watch TV shows or movies whenever you want. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
Excellent communication, spacious, secure full floor apartment
This VRBO is in a quiet residential area of Erie, centrally located, with its own entrance. Unit included an open living room as pictured, a separate bedroom with comfortable linens and pillows. The bath had a tub with shower which I liked. We slept well and appreciated the Keurig and drip coffee maker in the kitchen. Host was the best at communicating, responding promptly to emails and proactive in letting us know when the place was ready. Would book here again

Fine for a few day stay
Was difficult to locate address due to overgrowth at front of building. Was easy access due to keyless entry and owner providing number. Room was pleasant but couch was dirty and when we arrived did not find bath towels in apartment. Went to store to purchase them and when we got back the towels were on the bed, but without wash clothes or hand towels (only towels provided were the kind you get in public washrooms and left a roll of paper towels for next occupant). Bathroom would be better with a little update and some sort of place to place toiletries. (was out of hand soap at the sink, also). Was hard to get in/out of driveway (had off street parking) due to neighbors parking at edge of driveway and on the other side of the street. Location was fine for the 2 days we were there, but not for a longer stay.

Ok but could be better
The apartment had renovations done to it. It was small but a nice apartment. The problem is the abandoned apartment next door. It has a door that was cracked opened from joining the apartments entrance. There was trash every where and had a strong smell of plumbing or something coming from it. That door needs to be locked at all times or removed from joining the apartments. It didn't feel safe.. We closed and locked it but still an uneasy feeling knowing it was abandoned and something or someone could come through that door. House keeping needs a little help cleaning the toilet and fridge but overall everything else was pretty clean. Sheets for the pull out bed would be nice also. Outside appearance could be better by that shed to make a safer welcoming feeling so you wouldn't think you was at the wrong spot in someone's yard. A few small details would make this a really nice place. That apartment next door needs a lot of attention so this apartment would be a nice and safer place to stay.

I Would Not Recommend
Hard to find in the dark, no house numbers. Smell when I entered the property. Not very clean. The heating unit spewed out black something. The hand soap was so watered down it didn’t make suds. When I asked about heating and soap I was told it was bare accommodations and he couldn’t help. He then sent a second message saying he would pick up soap and never did. One day someone came into my area without asking, I came home after work at 10:30pm and there was a man who had entered the foyer area and gone into the basement without letting me know, leaving my apartment open and unlocked for anyone to enter, and also since no one had told me they were coming or not I was unsure if they should be there. I do not recommend this property.
