About this property

The Heart of Burr Oak close to the beach, surrounded by Wayne national Sleeps 6

The perfect base camp for your outdoor adventure! Lace up your hiking boots, bring your fishing poles, kayaks, and your bows. Surrounded by Wayne national forest and just a mile from the lake, close to thousands of acres of public hunting. Come and enjoy the beauty and serenity of Southern Ohio. The beach is just down the street as well as dock 4 and Wildcat Hollow. 30 minutes to Athens, 56 minutes to Hocking hills state park. This property has a private porch to relax and listen to the birds and turkeys, watch the occasional deer and take in the fresh air. Out front you will find a fire pit for roasting marshmallows or having a cold drink after a long day of exploring. Inside there are three bedrooms and two full baths with a full eat in kitchen as well as zoned heating and cooling in the bedrooms. If you’re looking to unwind and relax this is your spot. There is no WiFi at the cabin but that is one of our favorite parts, its easy to unplug if its not at your finger tips! Cell phone service is available all carriers we have tried. We have a few hundred DVD's for movie night . Come and see!

Very relaxing and perfect for a family!
We stayed at the lake for a few days as a family and this place is perfect. Only a few minutes from the lake and boat dock. Beds were very comfortable, kitchen stocked well with supplies, house was clean and accommodating!

Why they chose this property

We chose Burr Oak because of the fond memories I have here as a child. I want my children to have those same memories :)

What makes this property unique

Well, it’s very private! You can see deer and turkeys off the deck. There is so much public land surrounding us, it’s an outdoor lovers paradise. The lake is the icing on the cake, I love being able to go down and fish or take the kids swimming.
