You have three choices for dining. Eat at the beautiful dining table with high-end New Mexico style chairs, or eat at the kitchen counter which is open to the living /dining area. Finally, you can eat on the covered patio at the outdoor dining table.

The otdoor patio has views toward downtown Santa Fe. There is plenty of room for a pet with the fenced back yard. And a great setting to relax and read a book, eat a meal, or have drinks while you watch the sunset reflecting off the Sangre de Christo mountains.

The home is fully furnished with sheets, towels, bedding, dishes, pots and pans and appliances.

Hacienda Carolina is located on the ground floor of one of three buildings, which faces to the east, with downtown Santa Fe less than a mile away. The unit has the best yard in the complex. The building is easily accessed from the parking lot. It has its own BBQ deck which contains several charcoal grills and many tables and chairs. Parking is plentiful and close to the building. There are no steps to climb from the parking lot all the way through the front door and into the unit.

As the end unit, Hacienda Carolina offers more privacy than the other units.

Great Place for Us & Our Elderly Cat
We enjoyed our stay here. The condo is nicely decorated and has everything needed for cooking, sleeping, and bathing. We especially enjoyed the view from the patio…National Cemetery with Sangre de Cristos in the background. Loved watching clouds and thunderstorms roll in and out. Short drive to the plaza. The condo is right next to a road that can be busy and a bit noisy during drive times. We heard no noise when we closed up for the night. Julie was very responsive to our questions

I live in the Mount Pleasant, SC area and work as a Charleston Realtor and investor. I love travel, history, bicycling, fly fishing and great restaurants.

I have loved to travel since I was a child. When I feel a connection to a place I visit, I want to spend more time there. That's what happened the first time I visited Charleston, South Carolina over 40 years ago. Fast forward to seven years ago and we owned two vacation beach properties in the "Low Country" of Charleston and Beaufort, South Carolina.

Visiting Santa Fe, New Mexico, was another one of those cities I felt connected to. I first visited 10 years ago in a one night stop. Two months later my daughter moves there and now she has a family in Santa Fe.

I have visited often, and have now purchased a condo near downtown Santa Fe. Every time we visit, we fall in love a little more with the charms of Northern New Mexico and always look forward to our next trip. We are happy to share our cozy condo, appointed with New Mexican textiles and art, with you and hope you love it as much as we do.

Charleston and Santa Fe are among the oldest cities in the U.S. They both date back to European settlements in the 1600's. The ensuing cultural changes that came about as each city developed blended cultures, architectures, languages, arts and cuisine, created distinctly unique cities, that have some similarities but are vastly different from each other. Each are destination cities that draw visitors from all over the world. So whether you are craving the desert or the beach, I know you will enjoy staying in one of my favorite cities.

Why they chose this property

My favorite area of Santa Fe is the historic downtown surrounding The Plaza. Here you will find the oldest municipal building in continuous use in the United States, since 1610. For hundreds of years, Santa Feans have gathered on The Plaza to listen to live music, speeches, worship, eat at fine restaurants, trade goods and celebrate with one another. Even after all these years, The Plaza is still the lifes blood of the community and the area that best shows off its cultural, social and economic history. For this reason, we chose a condo that is right downtown, only a mile from the Plaza.

What makes this property unique

While we are in close proximity to The Plaza, we also love the hillside views of the beautiful Sangre de Cristo mountains that tower over the historic city center. Watching the setting sunlight turn the mountains from blue to purple to black is the perfect ending to perfect days.
