About this property

Private boardwalk to the beach. Dog friendly!

Enjoy a vacation of relaxation, convenience, and sunshine at Seagrass Cottage here in Carolina Beach. We are a three bedroom, two bathroom property just steps from the beach. You will be oceanside with a private boardwalk to the beach. Everything is on one level with an open floorplan kitchen, dining area, and living room with balcony. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes, utensils, cookware, fridge, microwave, stove, dishwasher, and a Keurig coffeemaker. The dining able seats six. The living room has a pull out queen size sleeper sofa and a Smart tv. We provide the linens and towels, except the big beach towels. We have a full size washer and dryer. We provide hand soap, toilet paper, paper towels, household supplies, cleaning supplies - enough for a short term stay.

We have parking for up to three cars (with the garage door open) - two in the garage and one in the driveway. We have an outdoor shower to rinse off the sand. If you are looking to explore the island we have two beach cruiser bikes available in the garage. This property is dog friendly, with a limit of 2 dogs with a non-refundable dog fee of $175.

We are a little island but with lots of fun things to do: the NC Aquarium, Fort Fisher Civil War museum, our famous boardwalk, two fishing piers, Britt's Donuts (an institution since 1939), Squigley's Ice Cream Shop, and Freeman Park - where you can drive out and camp right on the beach. We offer free live bands, carnival rides, and fireworks during the summer and of course have some delicious seafood restaurants. What more could you want? You can book your reservation right from our website or, if you prefer, give us a call, and we'll be glad to help!

Town of Carolina Beach Dog Rules - All dogs are required to be on a leash at all times. April 1st through September 30th, dogs are allowed on the beach during restricted hours BEFORE 9:00 a.m. and AFTER 5:00 p.m. Dogs are not allowed on the beach between 9AM-5PM. October 1st through March 31st,dogs are allowed on the beach during all hours.

Awesome Place
Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Great Location
Family and I had a good time at the beach. While this is not oceanfront, it is right at the shoreline with a private boardwalk. Not far from restaurants, beach shops and grocery stores. The garage is tight, my car fit okay but nothing much bigger would fit. The outside shower was great for rinsing sand off. My brother’s dog was welcome and we so appreciated that!

Well equipped but beach chairs ought to be replaced. Would add a word of caution for people with any physical disability - a climb of narrow stairs. No view from the unit but a quick walk to see beautiful sunrises. Lovely weekend away.

This property is perfect for those looking to spend a majority of their time on the beach. Inside there was enough space to meet our needs. My only complaint is there were no dish detergent or kitchen trash bags. I would stay here again and recommended to friends and family.

Nice place. Only thing I can say to help someone whos never rented, the garage is super small our suv barely made it but our truck did not. So be cautious on what you drive. Overall I would recommend to anyone.

clean, close to beach with easy path access, had some beach shovels and boogie boards for the kids. would have appreciated beach towels though and the mattress in the pull out couch is dirty, so that child slept on top of the couch without it pulled out. otherwise, good beach spot thanks

Great location, but needs work.
The location of this property is a dream. The access to the beach was stunning. However, you could hear every step the people take above you. A baby cried frequently throughout the night, and a dog was running around throughout the night. To no fault of the other guests, but it's a low ceiling and there is not carpet to muffle any sounds. The filter in the master was so dirty there was no airflow and it was very hot until my husband discovered that issue. There was a maxi pad by the hose outside where you spray off to come in. Would I rent here again? Probably not. But I will absolutely be going back to this beach.

Cute house, didn’t love location
The house was renovated and decorated nice. It had everything you need for your trip, they did a very nice job on it. My only complaint is the location and the outdoor space. The listing says “ocean front” and that’s what we were looking for to show my parents from Ohio the ocean. But it’s not ocean front- there’s another house in front of this one completely blocking the ocean. The balcony is very small and only fits 2 chairs so if you have more than two people with you, you can’t really sit together outside to hang out. The ocean was a short walk so the distance was fine, I just wish we would’ve known you can’t see the ocean from the house because that was our whole reason for choosing this house. My elderly parents can’t walk far so they were only able to walk to the ocean once and look at it for a few minutes, we thought they’d be able to sit outside and watch it all weekend.

The property is very nice and clean. It was well stocked with anything you could need in the kitchen. Owners had thought of extras vacationers might need! We did wish the bedrooms had tvs as well. The only note i would add if you are bringing dogs there is no where to take them to the bathroom. We had two dogs with us and ended up taking them across the street to the neighbors yard. Overall a great vacation and a nice rental. Iwners were great to work and communicate with.

We greatly enjoyed our stay. It was 5 of us and a small pet. The beach was right down the walkway. Short drive to grocery store. There was an issue with the dryer and the property manger had it fixed the next day. We would stay there again.
