About this property

Sunset Cottage Peaceful, Relaxing Luxury in the Country.

All roads lead to Sunset Hollow Farm & Gardens where you are invited to experience life on the farm, in Style! Miss Maggie and her magnificent dog, Jack personally greet their Guests, introduce you to the Farm, your Cottage and offer a little 'Welcome' something baked just for you!

Amanda R., Guest   Congratulations, you've stumbled on the best BNB ever. SERIOUSLY book it, we can't wait to go back.

Take this amazing opportunity to step away from all the noise and chaos of the world...here you can feel safe, relax, hear your own heartbeat, as you are surrounded by beauty, peace, tranquility and a big helping of chocolate!

Rosie M., Guest.  I've searched for several days not finding anything that felt quite right. I had much peace when stumbling on your listing yesterday. It was everything I expected it to be! The bedding and pillows were very comfortable. This is a great place to unplug, relax and refresh. I would absolutely visit again.

Explore Sunset Hollow Farm Stays' 21 lush and peaceful acres, an oasis that stands in stark contrast to the relentless pace of urban life. Each corner of the Farm offers a new sanctuary, from the tranquil pond to the gentle rustling leaves in the woods. Here, you are not just a Guest, but a part of a living tapestry that changes with the seasons. Discover life at ease with true Southern Hospitality in the Heart of Tennessee.

Amanda R., Guest.  Miss Maggie was attentive and gracious, but also so respectful of our space and our rest. It is a BNB in the truest sense.

Birding opportunities abound including the hilarious fat wild turkeys.
Each evening you have 'theatre seating' for the grand show - Sunsets, drenching the sky in a mix of dramatic hues and softly painted watercolor clouds.

Marshmallows anyone? Great time to light the fire in the fire pit and take in the night sky as it is blanketed with stars. How many can you name?

Mornings indulge your coffee choices and feast on a wonderful European breakfast with Miss Maggie's signature scones freshly made and delivered to your Cottage.

Carol P., Guest. If we could give this place 10 stars, we would! The setting is fabulous for relaxation! It's so peaceful and beautiful. Miss Maggie is a wonderful host and provided a lovely breakfast. We really didn't want to leave!

All this and you are only minutes to coffee shops, antiques and the city restaurants and attractions. Music City Nashville is only 42 miles! and a quick hop over to Historic Woodbury for groceries, coffee, shopping. Murfreesboro is just a close 10 miles to all kinds of events and activities.

Chelsea B., Guest.  Don't debate. Just book it! Maggie is a literal Angel. This place is a little slice of heaven that I'm so thankful I got to experience.

Tennessee is famous for its Fall color. Don't miss it!  Book early.

Anthony, Guest. We found a little piece of heaven and an Angel in Miss Maggie. She was the perfect host as she allowed us the space we needed. We highly recommend the Farm for your getaway.

I can't say it any better than my Guests have. I love sharing the Farm with Guests and enjoy them leaving in a calmer, happier mind set to head back into the world.

Bring your bicycle, best camera and binoculars. There is always something going on at Sunset Hollow Farm Stay so be sure to check the Blog for updates on events and specials at the Farm and follow us on Instagram to see fun, sometimes silly pictures.

Miss Maggie and Jack look forward to your visit and know you will love creating wonderful lifelong memories.

See Y'all soon!!

About the host

Hosted by Miss Maggie Shelor

Host profile image
I truly enjoy people and hosting allows me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people from all walks of life, from all over the world. Sharing my lovely, peaceful, restorative property with Guests and watching them relax and take a breath is why I do this. I enjoy cooking and sharing my favorites. Being of truly southern upbringing, hosting is a natural for me.

Why they chose this property

The good Lord found this property and placed me here. I am so blessed to have amazing neighbors, good friends, support and love from all around me. This property is located with a view that is a watercolor painting and each evening it is like being wrapped in a cloak of sunset and love. My plans include iris gardens, lots of hydrangeas and peonies and pink dogwoods!! Herbs and vegetables enough to share.

What makes this property unique

The location is everything. Just outside of Murfreesboro and Woodbury along winding country roads. You come to a little side road that is narrow but paved and it leads to this property and only one other beyond me. A delightful dead-end!
The house and Cottages sit just above the road on a gentle slope above the creeks so there is no flooding. Talls, elegant, ancient trees provide lots of leaves for the gardens and FALL color! Private, quiet, welcome back to what is important.
