Fantastic stay

Beautiful home in a great location. 20-30 minute drive from our daily adventures. Owners thought of every detail : extra abundance of towels / bathrobes, slides for walking to the hot tub, small fans on each bedroom side table, etc. Heated floors helped for a cold week! And the views were spectacular!

Es war einfach sensationell. Wunderschöne Lage am Seemit Hot Pot. sehr stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet.Es war alles vorhanden von Gewürzen über Duschmittel und Shampoo bis zu Bademäntel, Badeschlappen und genügend Holz für den Kamin.Sehr zu empfehlen für eine grössere Gruppe!

Great house

The house was beautiful and right on the water. We saw beautiful views of the Northern Lights right from the deck. The house had everything we needed inside and and it’s just a short drive to the grocery store. The property owners accommodated our flight and let us check in very early

Perfect Family Getaway

We had a loveley stay in Slefoss. The house was perfect for our family. Our kids played outisde by the lake, we had family dinners each night out on the deck while we enjoyed the Aurora Borealis and we easily drove out on mini excursions each day. THe home was clean, cozy and beautiful.

Beautiful home near the Golden Circle

The home was lovely and in a beautiful setting on the lake. Beds were so comfortable and we loved the view and the hot tub. There was plenty of space for our family of 8. The location was perfect to explore the Golden Circle.

Fantastic Property

We truly have some fantastic memories at this house that we will cherish forever. We had 2 families with a 4 yr old, 3 yr old, and 2.5 yr old and we all fit perfectly. We cold plunged in the lake in the morning and enjoyed the hot tub at night. Do not hesitate to book this house!

Wonderful experience

We truly enjoyed staying in the home. It accommodated our group of 7 adults with room to spare. The kitchen was very well equipped and the beds very comfortable. The view was lovely and it was 10 minutes to town with great restaurants.

Very comfortable and nice villa to stay. The view and environment are absolutely beautiful and it’s very close to some popular locations! Amenities are good and we did not miss anything. Checkin was easy and contact with owner was also easy and pleasant. Highly recommend this place.

Fantastic home perfect base for Golden Circle

We stayed here with our 3 adult children and the home was absolutely perfect! Clean and comfortable with a beautiful lakefront setting in the trees - it was very private, yet just a short drive from Golden Circle sights and the town of Selfoss. Hot tub under the stars (no bubbles, it’s the Icelandic way), pool table downstairs for the kids, and the Northern Lights across the street!! Very gracious host who met us at checkin to make sure we had everything we needed. (Which we did - the home was well stocked including coffee beans). I would highly recommend this house!!

Dream location

The house is so beautifull and the location even more. The area is very convenient for trips is all directions. We had the most wonderfull stay. The owners are very friendly and willing to help you with anything. I hope to be back one day.

Magical Christmas

Sigyn's communication was excellent throughout the booking process, pre-departure and during our stay. The property is exactly as described and for us, it provided an idyllic Christmas vacation. On the ratings, we just dropped one point on location as we very nearly got snowed in on the drive on our morning of departure. Everything else though was wonderful - a stunning location and a fully and professionally equipped property.

Luxury Lakehouse

An truly amazing Lakehouse in a stunning location, I fell in love with it straight away! Beautiful interiors and immaculate condition, plus fantastic facilities and really appreciated the log burner and hot tub after a busy day sight seeing! Being on the lake was just wonderful and using the kayaks was an amazing experience. Sigyn was a very lovely host even with our late arrival, what more can I say I would definitely recommend!

Wonderful home with fantastic view

The pictures don't do this home justice, similar to pictures overall not taking in what you experience in Iceland. Our only regret is we had so many things to do and see- we wish we had allocated more time to spend just relaxing in this beautiful home. Will definitely return!

Perfect family stay

What a spectacular property. The pictures don’t even do it justice. The house feels brand new - from the furniture to the heated floors. A view to die for - overlooking a river on a quiet road. It’s the perfect spot to do your excursions from. Sigyn is amazing too! Perfect communicator and amazing host. We didn’t want to leave this slice of heaven!

Fantastic Stay

There were 9 of us of all ages that arrived in Iceland. The house was perfect for us, both in size and location. We were lucky to have mild weather, so there was no problem driving our rental van. Sigyn was there when we arrived and showed us around the house. She actually shipped my diamond earrings that I inadvertently left there on departure and they arrived the next week. I would definitely stay there again!

Escape to Sellfoss

We had such an exciting time at our get away in Iceland. Sigyn was such a gracious host. There were 8 adults and we has such a pleasant time. Absolutely perfect!

We arrived with our 3 kids and 2 grandparents in tow! We met Diddi at the door and he greeted us with a warm smile and a bottle of champagne! Which was very much needed as it was 2:30am our time :). This home had it all but if you had to pick one thing, the view every day was worth every penny. We cooked 3 dinners and breakfast every morning. It was spotless, cozy, and the hot tub after a day of long hikes truly hit the spot. We have travelled all over the world with our kids in tow and they put Iceland as one of their favorite places thus far. The owners, Diddi and Sigyn, checked in with us from time to time, were helpful with places to eat, things to do and general directions on how to get around the country. This house was centralized to everything we wanted to do. Nothing was more than 90 minutes from the house and the town of Vik, with the black sand beaches Wes the furthest. We were less than 30-45 minutes from almost every major sight and activity you’d want to see. Including Geysir, Gulfoss waterfall, glacier walks and ice caves, beaches, horse back riding, the golden circle, the Blue Lagoon, etc. We did it all In just 7 days. We tend to choose luxury type accommodations when we travel and this house did not disappoint. We left with 500+ pictures and videos and memories to last a lifetime. Must do - the glacier walk. Thank you Diddi and Sigyn - we loved our time at your home.

Luxurious Rustic Glam Lakehouse

This Villa is truly the perfect combination of rustic and glam! Walking into the main living space I felt transported into a life of luxury and relation! Two stunning crystal chandeliers charmed the main living space while the extra large wood burning fireplace filled the room with warmth and comfort. The house was decorated with fine art and an extensive variety of books! And what a spectacular view of the lake and the mountain! It was just breathtaking! I spent the evenings cooking in the fully equipped kitchen, relaxing with a glass of sparkling wine next to the fireplace, and then taking a dip in the private whirlpool outside. The house is privately located on the lake, yet conveniently just a short drive to downtown Selfoss. It is ideal for a cozy weekend get away in the summer or winter! The owner was incredibly hospitable as she prepared a welcome treat and ensured my stay was relaxing. She put a lot of thought and passion into making this the ideal getaway. I highly recommend this Villa to couples and families. Thanks Sigyn for sharing your lovely home with me! Looking forward to coming back again someday!
