Great Stay for Families with older kids
We really enjoyed our stay which was perfect for families with the cute loft upstairs and a fun backyard! The kitchen was lovely for cooking with two options for dining areas. We loved the location and proximity to Solvang for activities (ziplining, ostriches, escape room) and Santa Ynez for wine tasting and restaurants. Thank you!

Great Thanksgiving retreat!
Our family group loved staying here for Thanksgiving! We had lots of space to relax in and do different activities both inside and outside the hacienda! The kitchen was super well-equipped for cooking our Thanksgiving dinner and everyone enjoyed the relaxing outdoor spaces, games, and views. We will definitely be back if we're staying in the area!

Amazing stay
Such a fantastic rental property! It was perfect for all three generations of our family. Between the pool and hot tub, foosball table, bocce court, and indoor and outdoor furniture galore, there was something to keep everyone happy. Also came with all the things you need to live life - so many towels, blankets, kitchen and grill supplies - we weren't in need of anything. And a bonus - the house was in a quiet location with easy access to all the local towns. Fantastic trip, thank you!!

Great Place
We had a wonderful stay at Casa Calzada. The place is in a great location. Very private. The lot is on a corner and there’s so much room that you really don’t notice any neighbors. The house was very well stocked with anything and everything you might need. Very clean and well-kept up. The backyard was amazing. We spent most of the time at the pool and in the hot tub. Was very happy with our stay. Definitely will come back in the future. Check in process was very easy.

We spent a weekend in this lovely property with our family celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary. The property is very clean and well equipped with a lovely yard, heated pool and hot tub. It is in a quiet neighborhood and we had a great time. The only problem was initially with the property manager who had not responded to our emails or phone messages five days before our arrival. We finally received the arrival instructions which were very clear two days before arrival . On our arrival day we received an email informing us it was ok to bring a dog and a person we did not know. This caused us a lot of stress as we thought the house had been double booked. She did not respond to our emails or phone calls and after contacting VRBO, who were also unable to contact her, we were assured there was not a problem with the booking. We finally heard from her a couple of hours later that she had confused the bookings. In summary it would be very helpful if the property manager had responded more promptly to our email and phone calls. We did eventually find that texting got a quicker response. This would have saved us a lot of stress and frustration.

The house is a great location for the wineries, Solvang, and Santa Barbara. The house is equipped with everything you’ll need for a comfortable stay. Outdoor furniture can use some updating and the landscaping around the pool needs some maintenance. Other than that it is a beautiful house for a family of 10.

Property is beautiful, private, and exactly as advertised. It has everything you could possibly think of needing--an abundance of towels, dishes, kitchen utensils, soap/shampoo/lotion, portable speaker, foosball table, cornhole set, pool floaties, multiple types of coffee makers, cleaning products, tons of shade outside, high-end grill and appliances, the list goes on. Our family of four (2 adults and 2 older teens) had a lovely, peaceful weekend lounging in the pool and jacuzzi, playing games, grilling, and enjoying local restaurants. The property manager, Bonnie, was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Superb stay!
We spent 3 wonderful nights over 4th July weekend at Casa Calzada with 6 adults and 4 children. It is clear the owners and property manager really care about the guest experience as there were many thoughtful touches and the checkin/out was easy. The pool and hot tub were clean and central to our family fun. We cannot wait to return!

Booked this property to celebrate a big birthday, but needed to do it safely in covid. The grounds provided plenty of space and fun things to do as a group so we didn't feel like we HAD to leave the property. All things were smooth and any bumps or questions were replied to quickly by Bonnie. Had a great time - would highly recommend and hope we get to return.

Very poor pool and tub sanitary
he house is big and cozy and it is in quiet area which allows you to stay away from noise. We came with kids specifically for those house as it has a big pool and tub. Both were in very bed sanitaria state. Property management first approach was amateur. We been said that cleaning system is broken and asked to turn the switch on every hour. Obviously , it did not help. Only at third day they specialized company arrive and fixed the system and we lost another eve for pool to be clean. For the tub, it is the whole different story but with even worth results. It never been cleaned up. Even after changing the water, the pipes where releasing dirt to the water the whole period . We end up skip using it. Anyway, despite being a nice house , the management style and pool sanitation is significantly below the expected

Casa Calzada is a magical place. My significant other and I take our combined family to a new VRBO every year for a family trip. All eight of us agree that Casa Calzada is our favorite place and can’t wait to come back. The home is beautifully decorated and so comfy. The amenities are endless. Bonnie was delightful to work with and so accommodating with a few requests. Don’t think twice! If you are planning on going to Santa Ynez, look no further and book Casa Calzada!

Amazing Stay
Our extended family of 8 (ages 5-80) spent three nights at Casa Calzada and we would definitely have loved to stay longer. The property is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. We enjoyed the thoughtfully designed garden with its various areas for escaping with a good book to relax. Our kids loved the pool and this is the first time we’ve rented a property that had the pool heated as promised without any issues. Bonnie is a great property manager to work with and was always prompt with helpful replies. We highly recommend this property.
