It features six bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 5 outdoor showers, an infinity-edged pool, a gazebo, a sun-tan, a fire pit, and a large open living room connected to an equally large covered lanai for seamlessly merging indoor and outdoor living. Jasmine's villa is a family-friendly, one-story home with flat access throughout. Our infinity pool is heated and is automatically covered for safety. About the host
Hosted by Ning Gulari, Ohana Kauai
Erdogan, Ning, Deniz, Aylin, and Bora Gulari. We lived in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and have been on Kauai since 2022. Erdogan was a professor of Chemical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ning was a researcher working in the implantable devices research area. Bora is an American competitive sailor. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in the mixed Nacra 17. Deniz has just graduated from UM, working in the implantable bone/hip replacement industry. Aylin is now 3rd grader.
We all live by being honest, work hard, play hard, and enjoy life' Erdogan bought this Bird of Paradise Home in June 1992, a few months before the hurricane Iniki hit Kauai on September 11, 1992. At the time he was also the association president for the Makanui Condo Association and he came to the Island with the first flights from the mainland, bringing a generator along to power several of the neighboring homes. He also brought lots of tarpaulins (some of which you may still see in the garage) to distribute to neighbors and use in covering holes in the roof which we and the neighbors did get. We are planning to live in this home when we retire so we take care of it the best way we can and put all our effort and labor of love into it. We enjoy our vacations in Kauai and love to share the same experiences with you.
We started managing the Bird of Paradise home, the Orchid House, and the Hawaiian Hibiscus homes, and Jasmine Villa in Poipu, Kauai. Our Jasmine villa is in Kula Makai, the best location in Kukuiula estate. We love the unobstructed Panoramic Ocean View. The floorplan of our home is set such that you see the ocean, sunrise and full moon rise view from just any corner of the villa. This is the location where our last Hawaiian Queen Emma chose to build her vacation cottage. This location is truly call "Paradise" Throughout the design and construction, we put our heart to every details and hope you would enjoy your paradise right here at home
What makes this property unique
The best location is on the sunny southside of Kauai (Poipu) where 300+ sunshine day year-round. This same area was chosen by our last queen Emma! where it was her summer vacation cottage. You will be entertained by the perfect tropical weather, hearing the ocean waves while sleeping at night, whale watching right in your living room/ bedroom. The large spouting horn spray is always seen since our villa is right behind it.
